IDEAL LOCATION: This condo is located in the Heart of the French Quarter just 2 blocks from Jackson Square/St Louis Cathedral. 2 blocks from Frenchman street, 1 block from the river, 2 Blocks from Bourbon Street, 1.5 blocks from the Famous Cafe Du Monde. While other listings may state 'French Quarter', they might be outside the Quarter or in a very unsafe part of the French Quarter. It makes large difference late at night when you can't find a cab to get through the more dangerous sections.
PLEASE NOTE: this condo is on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators.
PARKING: Metered parking spots may be available - check signs for details. Otherwise nearby lots offer daily in/out parking.

We're professionals and musicians and we just LOVE New Orleans. Our favoriate mornings start with a stroll to the cafe. We walk/run along the riverfront for excercise, and then make our way through the antiques and art. Nighttime brings music, food, more music, and more food.
Tobi purchased this condo in 2001
New Orleans offers something for everyone. Wtih 54 parades a year, there is always something for families, couples, singles, and groups to do. The architecture has a European feel, without the cost of flying there! Day trips can be made to the lakes, swamp, or ocean.
The condo is the perfect walking distance from Frenchman street, Jackson Square, and Bourbon street. Whatever your interest (nightlife, family trip, authentic music or food), you wont be more than a couple blocks for a safe stroll home.
I loved my stay on St. Philip St. The apartment is in the perfect location in the Quarter. There is a locked gate at the street entrance, and I always felt safe. I loved staying on the 3rd floor, but it is a lot of stairs. The much-needed air conditioning worked perfectly. There is a full, well-stocked kitchen, which I never used, as the restaurants are just too good to miss. I enjoyed the courtyard and small pool. The neighbors were nice and welcoming, including those around the neighborhood. The owner is very nice and reasonable. The master bedroom gets some noise from the street, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to use ear plugs. Everything you need is included. The site says 3 bedrooms, but that is a little misleading. There are 3 beds in 3 separate sleeping areas and plenty of room, but there is no real privacy between the bedrooms. The master can be closed off from the living area, but not from the loft above it. The loft is open to the living area and the master. The sleeping alcove with the 1/2 bath is open to the living area. The beds are comfortable and have nice linens. I parked in a manned garage nearby on a monthly contract and I loved it, but I didn't need my car at all except to get friends from the airport. The building is 250 years old and wasn't always lovingly restored in the past, but it is clean and well-maintained. I loved being able to walk everywhere in the Quarter and beyond and ride my bike to other areas. Walking along the river was lovely and very convenient. I will recommend this apartment to my friends and hope to return many times.
I was kind of skeptical on renting anything offline with out me actually seeing it first, but I must admit, If I could do it all overt again, I wouldn't change my decision. The location was perfect. It was within walking distance of everything you wanted to get to. There are places actually on Burbon St but after going, Burbon was way too crowded and loud. This location is only a few blocks away so we could get to Burbon relatively easy and walk back knowing we would have some quite. The pictures are exactly how it looks. Everything is super clean and we got way more than we expected. I would recommend this property to anyone. The only downside is there isn't any free parking but there are parking lots close by. However, if you go there when they have events, expect to pay $40/day for parking which would normally cost you $15 according to the residents who live there, or you can feed the meter which would come out to $15/day. Let me caution you though the police do check regularily, even on the weekends! The place has a blacony which was real nice to just be able to go out and see what's going on. The owners are super nice and are helpful at all times. I don't have any regrets renting this property and I would definitly rent this one again if I go back to New Orleans. Oh, one more thing, I would not recomment this property for those who are not able to walk up stairs. This property is on the 3rd floor with out there being any elevators.
By far, the best feature of this property is location. My girlfriend and I got so used to an easy stroll one block to the Market Cafe' that I wished that we could stay for a month. Also, Mr. B's bar and grill, practically next door, was a great place to wet your whistle with locals before setting out for the destination of the day. Two blocks to Jackson Square, two blocks to Bourbon St., one block to Royal street and great shopping, two blocks to the French Market, the river, etc. EVERYTHING is close and easy to reach by foot, including grocery stores, pharmacies, and souvenier shops on Decatur. We had the duck at Irene's next door (like eating candy) and had so much fun everywhere, this is now our "go to" living quarters every time we hit The Big Easy". Fair warning: three flights of steps will give you some exercise, and there isn't much room on the balcony (although adequate). Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms makes it feel roomy and "at home". A very efficient ice maker and air conditioning, and a quiet neighborhood. Reasonably priced, too. Stay here, and you won't be disappointed!
