Modern amenities abound - bamboo floors, stainless steel appliances and glass mosaic tile in the kitchen and bathroom. The open kitchen and living room layout are wonderful for entertaining and spending time with family and friends. But the best part is the idyllic, peaceful river front view. You will feel like you are living on a boat. Bring a kayak and sail away! Conveniently located 5 miles from the village of New Paltz and a short walk to the Rail Trail. This special house is a phenomenal weekend getaway or a great place to nest for longer stays. Close to shopping, restaurants, golf, climbing, hiking, swimming and all The Hudson Valley has to offer.

I'm from New Paltz originally and lived in the city for many years. Upon my return to the Hudson Valley, I purchased this home and settled in. I have rented this property for the last couple of years and have had only great experiences.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2006
I purchased this house after living in NYC for many years and renovated it from the floor to the roof. I created it to be a wonderful place to relax and find peace of mind. The location and view are dreamy.
The kitchen is a wonderful place to cook and the patio is right off of the kitchen so you can grill riverside enjoy meals outdoors as well. The bath tub is an extra deep soaking tub - it is so relaxing!
In the last few years, I have stayed at a few rentals in (and around) New Paltz, with a focus on those geared towads smaller parties (2, 3, or even 4 in a pinch). This one is definitely the nicest of any that I've seen so far.
The cottage itself is cozy and welcoming, with a picture-perfect view of the river, and field beyond, outside of the back windows. The kitchen was ready to serve the serious chef; it was well-stocked with cooking supplies, spices, oils, and other cooking incidentals. The sofa and beds were all quite comfortable; this is never something to be taken for granted.
And there was very convenient access to the WallKill Valley Rail Trail, which saved the hassle of having to load the bikes on the car to reach the trail. Lastly, it was a very short car ride to reach New Paltz.
Moreover, Eva was very responsive with questions that I emailed her about the Cottage, before we first saw it. And she was every bit as responsive with voicemail questions that I left her, after we arrived (how are us technophobes to figure out the DVD player?).
All in all, a lovely and convenient rental home--not to mention rental experience--with no surprises whatsoever.
Perfect cottage on the river. The views are calming. This is very close to the bike/walking trail and road biking is spectacular. Very close to Mohonk and Lake Minnewaska. Loved the restaurants in High Falls, Rosendale and New Paltz. Only a short ride to Woodstock and the Bearsville Theater. Such a beautiful spot! We loved it!! Our home away from home :)
We just spent two wonderful weeks in the Cottage. It was just as described. The location was beautiful, right on the bend of the river. Very quiet and peaceful. The cottage is very comfortable and relaxing. Eva was so helpful in providing info on getting into the City and local spots to go to. I cannot thank her enough for providing such an excellent vacation rental. We are looking forward to booking another stay at the Cottage for our next trip home to New York.
