AMAZING ATLANTIC BEACHES
Just 25km away is the Costa Verde, a 100km long stretch of excellent, clean beaches from Spain to Porto. You can visit the family seaside resorts of Moledo and Vila Praia de Âncora, the main port town of Viana do Castelo, the charming border village of Caminha. In between, there are surf beaches, sandy, rocky, romantic beaches - you can go to a different one each day to suit your mood. Close to the Villa there are also warm, sheltered river beaches on the River Lima, and in the Serra d'Arga hills there are several hidden spots with waterfalls and crystal clear bathing-pools amongst the rocks.
CULTURE, HISTORY AND NATIONAL PARK
For those who enjoy rural sightseeing there's the rugged countryside of Peneda-Gerês National Park, & further away the World Heritage Douro Valley wine-growing region. The villages and country lanes of Alto Minho, offer a landscape from an earlier era, including some of Iberia’s best-preserved Roman settlements. Serra d’Arga (784m) provides great views in all directions, and the Lagoas Nature Reserve offers a chance to see some wetland wildlife. For more sophisticated entertainment, there's the Casino at Póvoa de Varzim, and plenty of history, culture and night-life in a dozen towns and cities within a short drive - Guimarães, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Caminha, Valença, Tui, Braga, Barcelos, Viana do Castelo and the World Heritage City of Porto. The traditional Romarias (festivals), with their folklore, singing, dancing and decorative crafts and costumes provide a taste of the local culture. And the famed cuisine of the Minho region can be found in restaurants galore.
CHOICE OF AIRPORTS
Located close to Ponte de Lima, in northern Portugal, only 40 kilometres from the Spanish (Galician) border, 75km from Porto and 25km from the Atlantic beaches of the Costa Verde. The region is well served by low-cost airlines from Britain and northern Europe, and access is easy from Porto, as well as from Santiago de Compostela and Vigo airports.

The ferry ports of Santander and Bilbao are several hours' drive away.

A junction on the new motorway network of north-west Iberia, just 3km away, offers quick and easy access to most of Portugal and Galicia - cities like Porto, Braga and Guimarães, as well as the famous Spanish pilgrimage city of Santiago de Compostela.

This is ‘old’ Portugal – Ponte de Lima, only 15 minutes walk away, is the oldest town in the country – rich in culture and folklore, and with its own distinctive gastronomy. Here, too, there's a good range of restaurants, supermarkets, shops and other amenities.

The adjacent championship golf course offers an added attraction, with its unspoilt rural landscape in the typical Minho countryside, with mountains to the east and the Atlantic Ocean not far to the west, and plenty of views of vine-covered slopes throughout the Lima valley.

The price quoted is for each of two independent apartments, accommodating 6 people upstairs or 5 downstairs, each in 3 bedrooms. The whole house may also be reserved, at double the price, for up to 11 people. Each apartment has two bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, access to the garden and a separate entrance.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (EUR) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
