Fabulous holiday

  • 5 of 5

This is definitely the best accommodation I’ve stayed in, just a stones throw from the lift with stunning views across the valley. The chalet is beautifully finished and has everything you could wish for and was always warm and welcoming after a long days skiing with home made tea and cakes and a friendly smile. The staff (Sam and Colin) made us feel very welcome with nothing being too much trouble and probably the most outstanding thing of all was the wonderful food they served us – Superb!

There are no words! Fabulous

Our first week skiing and what better way than to spend it in Oz and at Le Chalet Sabot. We have been exceptionally lucky with great snow and we have all come on in leaps and bounds. As for our fabulous hosts Lee and Shirley - what can we say? The most friendly and hospitable people you could meet and Lee's cooking is absolutely to die for. We have been truly spoilt with fabulous breakfasts, very welcome afternoon teas and the most amazing evening meals - truly top restaurant standard. Going home will be such a disappointment to go back to ordinary meals. Thank you so much, it has been an absolutely brilliant week. We hope to return!

Recommended comfortable chalet with great staff!

  • 5 of 5

We had a beautiful week in Chalet Le Sabot. The weather was all week sunny. We could use a little more snow. The chalet is very comfortable and beautiful decorated and located (2 minutes walk to skilift. Even the place where you put your ski's and boots is well taken care of. But what made it really special were Lee and Shirley, our hosts. Their effort to make us comfortable was great. English and Dutch breakfasts, great christmas dinners, cakes, sweets at 5 o'clock sweets.

Another Great Stay..

  • 5 of 5

It was our 6th year in Oz and our 4th at the Chalet le Sabot. We were lucky with the snow (I think most people have been this year) and the Chalet was maintained to its usual high standards. The hosts, Peter and Chris, were fantastic yet were discrete and never impinged on our privacy. The meals were exactly what were required before and after a good day’s skiing.

The Chalet le Sabot remains an amazing place for a ski holiday. The views are breathtaking, the staff and facilities are excellent and everything is so close – ideal, especially if you have young children.

Stay at Chalet Le Sabot - April 09

  • 5 of 5

The chalet exceeded expectations. It was comfortable and perfectly set out for 2 families and the description on the website was extremely accurate. It boasts one of the best views in the region. The “bonne surprise” were Colin and Sam who were both extremely accommodating, yet discrete at the same time. The food was some of the best we have tasted for a while and the portions were generous. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay for young families

  • 5 of 5

We have just spent a fantastic week at this chalet with our two children aged 3 and 5 months.

The hosts were very friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. We had everything we needed from cot and highchair to favourite DVDs and toys, even plastic spoons and bibs!

The chalet was very spacious, kept immaculately clean and had breathtaking views. The food was of the highest quailty and Colin's passion and flair for food was catching. Colin was very accommodating to the needs of the children. We must also mention the mulled wine, it was unforgettable!

The lift was on our doorstep, a great relief when we had to carry our son's skis and our 5 month old daughter. Our son also attended the local ski school (again only a few minutes walk from the chalet) and loved the "magic carpet" which is perfect for children and beginners.

For the more experienced skier the nearby lifts provided easy access to Alps d'Huez and Vaujany. We took the children up on both of the lifts at the resort so our son could get a taste of what real ski-ing was about and of course have a hot chocolate at the top of the mountain!

The resort itself is very compact and provides everything you need. With cars not being permitted in the resort itself we were able to relax whilst our son played and ran around in the snow.

The short transfer from Grenoble airport was arranged by the hosts and unproblematic with child seats provided. The hosts had even gone to the trouble of making a snowman outside the front door for my son!

We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the chalet. We were apprehensive about taking our young children ski-ing but due to the accommodating hosts, facilities available in the chalet and the child-friendly resort, we had a very relaxing time and were spoilt rotten,

Thank you - we will be back!!
