A beautiful, modern apartment situated in the pretty medieval village of Limonta. Ground floor has double bedroom with lake views and a bathroom with shower. A Large lounge with full length double aspect windows, fully equipped kitchen area both with access to balcony ideal for 'Al Fresco' dining. A spiral staircase leads to the second double bedroom which is loft style and has a studio area with a folding single bed suitable for a child up to 10. This bedroom has a ensuite shower room and balcony also with lake views. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and has private parking.Liimota is a typical Italian medieval village situated 200 meters from the Lake and approx. 3 kms from the town of Bellagio-the Pearl of the Lakes, accessible by car and ferry. Lake Como has many attractions, you will find beautiful villas and gardens lining the shore, Bellagio itself offers a selection of shops, excellent restaurants, the main ferry terminal provides access to all parts of the Lake.

Lake Como has the most dramatic scenery of any of the Italian Lakes. Along its shores you will find many beautiful villas with magnificent gardens, pretty villages,cosmopolitan towns such as Bellagio with its many shops and wide variety of restaurants, lakeside walks and stunning views or Como, much larger with its impressive Duomo, funicular railway and, as this is the center of silk production in the area, there is a wide selection of fashion shops specialising in silk products. The boat stop at Limonta will take you into Bellagio or down the Lake to Lecco in the summer months. The much larger ferry terminal in Bellagio is served by car ferries and pleasure boats which will take you to any destination on the Lake. Limonta itself is a perfect base for walking with many kept paths to choose from starting in the village square. There is a friendly lakes side Trattoria an 8 minute walk away adjacent to the boat stop. Further afield to visit are Milan, Bergamo and St Moritz.

Personal: We have owned our apartment for 5 years and are very proud of it. Lake Como is a wonderful area to visit and we believe we are in one of the best positions to enjoy all the Lake has to offer. The local people are exceptionally friendly and welcoming and will do there best to make your stay memorable. In the time we have spent in the area we have still not eaten at all the restaurants or seen all the attractions there are.

How to get there: Lake Como is easily accessible by air from 3 international airports. Milane Linate, Milan Malpensa and Bergamo. All three are served by the major budget airlines and many other National carriers. The Milan airports are approximately 45 kms from Limonta, about an hours drive. Bergamo is also approximately one hour. The apartment is also accessible by rail and ferry however the local supermarkets and dairy are approx 1.5 kms from the apartment a car is deemed necessary for ease of access to these facilities and the many attractions of the Lake and mountains.

Local Supermarkets: There are two supermarkets in Bellagio 1.5km distance from the apartment and 1 local shop in Vassena the village just before you arrive in Limonta which sells the basics and they all keep Italian shopping hours 8.30-12.30 and 15.30 - 18.30.

A beautifully located apartment with stunning views :-) The flat itself was comfortably furnished with extremely comfortable beds. It was a lovely and relaxing getaway for honeymooners. The flat was extremely quiet and breakfast on the terrace in October with the lake in the background was the highlight.

Organizing the trip with the owners and the meet-and-greet staff were all very helpful and accomodating.

We missed having internet access in the flat but fully appreciate that others would find that being incommunicado would be a real bonus!!

just finished a repeat holiday at this appartment and planning the next visit in 2010 Stunning views,quiet location and handy to restaurants, supermarkets and of course Bellagio
The ferry stop at Limonta which is only a five minuite walk down the hill is very useful and we especially enjoyed the trip down to Lecco.
We also did two stunning day drives from the appartment-- One to St.Moritz and the other to Villa Taranto on Lake Maggiore.
The appartment is very well fitted out and has very comfortable beds.
We look forward to our return next year.

Sueees from Staffordshire sums it all up in her review...this really is a fantastic apartment in a great location with a simply stunning view.

Having spent 5 wonderful nights in this well appointed apartment, our only regret was not staying longer! From the moment we arrived we all felt at home - thanks too to the welcome from Mariaelisa (and who was most helpful during our stay).

The apartment is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Lake Como area and its jewel in the crown - Bellagio. Having not visited the area before we were unsure of the best location to stay...now I would return to this apartment without hesitation. Not only did we enjoy the quiet setting of Limonta to unwind and enjoy the view, the ideal location enabled us to easily come and go from Bellagio as we pleased, being only a 5-10 minute drive away. Other towns can also be easily accessed via the car ferries at Bellagio or by enjoying drives around the lake. (I agree with Sueees that a having a car is an advantage to exploring the area, and we valued having a reserved car space each time we came 'home' after a day out).

The actual apartment would suit all styles of travellers - clean, well maintained and with all the facilities you would expect. Disabled and elderly travellers will obviously appreciate the ground floor layout and street level entrance (with your car parked 5 metres from the door!). And did I mention the view???

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, can't wait to return and would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone...another 11/10 rating from us.

Paradise On The Lake

This amazing apartment has the most stunning views that we found anywhere in the Lakes in and around Lake Como.

Stupendous is a word that we dont use very often, but this lovely big 2 bedroom apartment really has it all.
The apartment itself is in a quiet position, in a pretty village but with a family run restaurant 4 mins walk away. You do need a car really though so that you can explore the area. Beautiful Bellagio is only a few mins drive away and we got our lake sightseeing boats from there. Including a car ferry to Cadennabia on our return home north which cut an hour off our drive back to the UK.

The apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated with all mod cons. Its very spacious too, but what makes it very special are the enormous 4 sets of double doors that open out to the view and a balcony. The view is one of the three best views I have ever seen. The street level entrance makes for ease of unloading your car, etc. Also there is a ground floor bedroom for elderly or disabled guests. The loft suite is gorgeous too. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. Thanks to the owners for allowing others to enjoy the high life. Also thanks to Mariaelisa for greeting us on arrival.
