La corte dell'orso is a 110 m² apartment that overlooks a beautiful private courtyard bordered by a great hazel tree and an 18th-century loggia and is part of a large and ancient villa. Its three bedrooms, each with their own bath, the large living and dining area with an antique fireplace create a warm, welcoming atmosphere in winter, yet cool and bright in the summer months. La corte dell’orso is located in Castello Cabiaglio, a village in the heart of the so-called seven lake area where the most wide and well-known is the Lake Maggiore. From 22nd to 28th September 2008, the road cycling world championships will be held in Varese.

Castello Cabiaglio is an ancient village nestled in the green of the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park. At an altitude of 514m (nearly 1700ft) and a population of just 544, Castello Cabiaglio, with its narrow cobbled streets, is the ideal place to find peace and tranquillity. But being strategically placed in an area rich in natural and cultural attractions is also ideal for those who love outdoors (hiking, mountain biking, golf, horseback riding, gliding, and more) or are interested in learning more about the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the area. Villa Panza (Varese), Villa della Porta Bozzolo (Casalzuigno), Torre di Velate and the Borromeo islands on Lake Maggiore are just a few of the many landmarks that art lovers can easily visit, not to mention Castiglione Olona and its 15th century frescoes by Masolino da Panicale.
