This is a great family house and wonderful place for entertaining. It has a large open and very sunny floor plan. With over 5500 sq. ft. of indoor living area the rooms are all pretty big so everyone has lots of space. We have decorated the house in light and bright colors so it has a very positive and optimistic feel. People who come to our house are generally on vacation so we believe that it's important that they feel relaxed and in a good mood when staying there. It is with that thought in mind that we decorated the house. We primarily have return visitors so people must like the place. We certainly do!
We totally renovated and redecorated the house three years ago and added an extra bedroom upstairs and turned an unused screen porch into a very nice office space off of the kitchen. There is a full size heated pool with surrounding deck right off of the living room, family room and master bedroom. The pool and patio area is a wonderful venue for entertaining and has outside stereo speakers to complement such. We spend a lot of time at the pool and have had more than our share of margaritas and cervezas on its patio while in residence. There is also a full sized gas grill on the pool patio and it gets a robust workout whenever we are visiting and, I suspect, when our guests are there as well. The fully equipped kitchen is quite large, bright and opens up into the family room. It has granite countertops and a well lit separate breakfast area just off to the side.
We have large flat screen HDTV sets in the family room, living room, master bedroom and first floor office. They are all connected to comcast. The system in the family room also has a surround sound home theater system. A number of movies are in the cabinet below the screen for you to use. But, you may also want to bring movies of your own to use as well as our selection is somewhat limited. The house also has a multi room stereo system if you care to use it.
The first floor has the main master bedroom and a guest bedroom. The second floor has a second master bedroom and two other guest bedrooms. All of the bedrooms have their own baths. The entire house is air-conditioned and it is on a three zone system so different temperature settings can be used to accommodate different desires amongst your group. There is a two car garage below the house but generally speaking everyone seems to just park overnight in the driveway as such is easier. There is a separate laundry room off of the kitchen and an elegant and welcoming entrance foyer.
We are located on the ninth fairway of the Jack Nicklaus Turtle Point golf course. As such, we are also a very easy walk to the Turtle Point Clubhouse which has a great italian restaurant. It is only 300 yard from our back door.
Our home is a great place for families. Oftentimes, two families will share the house as it is quite spacious with several different rooms for people to hang out in. Our family really loves vacationing here. We suspect yours will too.
