What a lovely place for rest and relaxation! The house was beautiful and the views were spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and appreciated the many “extras” that came with this well equipped home; we were especially thankful for great air conditioning! The owners and caretakers were great communicators and answered any question immediately and treated us with the utmost respect and kindness. The swimming was great after getting past the rocks – if you walk down a little way, it is much less rocky. I have to say, the huge rocks jutting out from the surface of the water added beauty and the view was worth walking down a bit to swim. There is not much to do in Harrisville, but Oscoda and Alpena are have much more to offer and are not far away. If you want to fish, you need a something larger than a kayak (which were great fun), and we could not find a boat rental in the area so you will need to bring your own. Again, this was a beautiful, relaxing place with beautiful views and lots of beach - it was so awesome to have Lake Huron a few steps from your door!
