You can't beat the location of the Kona Magic Sands building; rooms right at waters edge, beach on one side, park on the other of the building. We liked our room, 309, being on the top floor for the view. My husband wasn't bothered by the crashing surf at night, but I required ear plugs to sleep soundly. the room was clean and newly redecorated and all was as advertised. I appreciated the two essential extras of an excellent blender for those sunset drinks and a hair dryer and loved the huge fridge. The bed was most comfortable and the wifi worked well both in the room and at the pool. My only negative is the poorly functioning stove/oven, but this is only a problem if you like to cook most of your meals in the room like I do. The microwave is a good size and functions well. The owner responded helpfully and quickly to queries and I feel the room is excellent value for your money. You can even snorkel right out in front, accessing the water from the adjacent park.
