Putnam Station Cottage Rental Photos and Description
Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)
Spend some time in our quiet cove swimming, fishing, boating or just enjoying the spectacular view of the Adirondack Mountains across the lake.
Our cottage is in a secluded spot a half mile from Gull Bay on the northeastern shore of Lake George just 10 miles south of Ticonderoga.
There is something for everyone to enjoy in this quiet part of Lake George. For boating enthusiasts, the cottage has a covered boat house that will accommodate a boat up to 23 feet long. There is a public boat launch a half mile down the road and a marina just across the lake. If you like to fish from your boat, bass fishing is excellent in and near our cove, or you can fish from the dock.
For those who love swimming you can dive in from the dock or enter more gradually from the shore. There is also a sandy public beach a half mile away. Or you can boat to one of the many islands in the lake for swimming and a picnic.
If hiking is your passion there is the challenging climb up Black Mountain or the easier hike up nearby Buck Mountain. There are also many trails to the lake and the Adirondack Mountains a short drive away.
Nearby Ticonderoga has all the supplies you might need. You also might visit the historic Fort Ticonderoga or take the ferry across Lake Champlain to Vermont.
If you like to just relax, the cottage has the dock as well as two decks. The sunny deck has a table and chairs with an umbrella so you can spend the day relaxing. The cottage is built right above the edge of the lake and the entire front wall has windows spanning the building providing an amazing view and sunset. The cottage has an open plan and newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen.
This location is so comfortable and relaxing you may never want to leave!

Our family has spent many memorable weeks in our little Lake George cove. We enjoy it so much we rarely leave the area and just stay and completely relax. We find ourselves just floating in the cove, chatting, having lunch on the deck, and watching the sunset every night over dinner. Highlights for the kids include fishing from the dock, canoeing to Turtle Island for a picnic, and making as big a splash as possible when jumping in off the dock. We really find this spot to be completely satisfying and love to share the experience with others.
