Jamesey's Cottage is a charming stone built holiday house which is available to rent. The cottage overlooks Caragh Lake on the Ring of Kerry and has fantastic views of Dingle bay and the lake. The home has just been extended and refurbished using stone, wood beams, slate and teak windows and features a vaulted lounge with large stone fire place. The large cottage (250sqm) has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 10 people. The home is ideal for 2 families or 1 large family.

Jamesey’s Holiday Cottage is situated above Caragh Lake, near Glenbeigh on the Ring of Kerry. The rental cottage has spectacular views of the lake extending across Dingle bay to the Slieve Mish Mountains. The recently renovated cottage is an ideal romantic getaway and a perfect location for anyone one enjoys hillwalking. There are many walks starting from the cottage which The start of the Reeks walk and Ireland’s highest mountain, Carauntoohill is 8km. Salmon and trout fishing are available on Caragh Lake and many local rivers. Lough Nakirka, a stocked lake is just up the road. The cottage is 10 km from Killorglin with its wonderful seafood restaurants and traditional pubs with music. Carraig House, a country house hotel and restaurant is a short drive down on the lakeshore. It is10km to Dooks golf course, 5km to Beaufort and 18km to Killarney golf course. Rossbeigh beach is 13km away and is a poplular venue for windsurfers and body boarding - Ireland's latest craze.

Well maintained, quiet, retreat

Jamesey's cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our trip to Ireland. Our two families traveled together with a total of 5 young children. The house was more than big enough to accommodate everyone. There was space for the parents to relax while the kids played in the loft. The kitchen is well appointed for meal making and there was adequate facilities for showers/baths/laundry etc. The house sits about 12km out of Killorglin, however once you know the route, it is a pleasant drive. Killorglin is larger enough to get all the grocery items you need for your stay and is well located for traveling throughout Kerry. Clodagh was most helpful getting us set up for our arrival and departure and the house was clean and ready when we arrived.
The kids mostly enjoyed the sheep that slipped into the yard when we forgot to close the gate one morning and watching the Dads shoo them away. The parents enjoyed the peace and beautiful scenery.

Thanks for a wonderful stay. We really enjoyed our time in Ireland and can't wait to return some day.
