Paradise In Central Florida

We rented this lake house for the month of February 2013. What a beautiul place. I am an avid golfer and fisherman and I really fell in love with this area. Golfed many times at Lake Wales Counry Club for a very reasonable price and fished almost everyday either in Tiger Lake or Lake Kissimmee (there is a navigable creek separating the two lakes). We had a bass boat for some of the time, but we caught most of our fish right off the dock (Bass, Brim, Chain Pickerel, Bowfin, Blue Cat, Gar, and even a couple of very large turtles).
The house itself was fantastic (clean, well maintained,and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need in cooking utensils). We had company almost every week and there was plenty of room for everyone. Bedrooms were large (especialy the master) and very comfortable. The grounds were amazing, with wildlife everywhere - we saw Bald Eagles almost every day. Pictures do not do this place justice and very peaceful except for the occasional airboat, which are interestig machines. My wife and friends really enjoyed relaxing/reading on the screened in porch (and watching the Gecko's at play).
The only thing that would have made our stay better would be WiFi - but we knew this going in. Thanks Peggy for letting us stay in your "paradise". I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway from the cold in the Northeast. We will be back.
