Sunset Villa offers a sophisticated, comfortable and relaxing holiday for up to 4 people (adults and children) , The villa is in a steep hill (700 meters above sea level) where the views of the sea, countryside and mountains are magic. It's only half a mile to the sea, supermarkets, bars, shops and restaurants.. Rethymnon town is only 3.5 miles with the old town and loads of history. There are 4 seating areas outside the villa all with lovely views. Roof terrace has a seating area with 2 hammocks, where you can just relax looking at the sunrise over the mountains. In the pool seating area are lemon tree, surrounding flowers and climbers like bougainvillea with loads of aromatic smells in the air make you feel in paradise. I have been letting my villa for 5 years and I always get a fantastic feed back, I am sure you will have a great time at sunset villa. I can arrange good prices for car hire and airport transfer.

Car hire and airport transfers: We will be very happy to arrange for a car hire and airport transfers. Someone will wait for you at the airport to take you directly to the villa. The extra charge will depend on which month you are travelling and what size of car you need. I will be able to help you and to make sure that you have a good time and your holiday will be good value for money.

Cleaning during your stay: You will find a phone number to ring and discuss time of cleaning. you will have to pay that separately to the lady.

Golf: There is a Golf club near the villa. It's about half an hour drive from the villa.

Villa with a view to kill, quiet & very private!

The villa was exactly as portrayed in the internet. A very peaceful setting apart from the howling dogs at night time & the neighbours tv!
The pool was also great for us after after the hot days of travelling around.
A car is a must as there is not much around the area. We were disappointed with the nearby beaches, extremely dirty with lots of rubbish lying around. The beaches heading up towards Hania are much better. Also the beaches on the other side of the island are beautiful. (Make sure you check the wind conditions before you leave. When it blows a gail you can´t even get of the car!
Tony the "pool expert" was also very helpful in suggesting places to eat & visit.

All in all I would recommend this place/area for anyone who´s looking for a relaxful, stress free time.

In the last half of May we spent nine wonderful days at Sunset Villa. The villa is in a fantastic spot on the side of a valley with sea views one way and mountains the other. A large kitchen/diner and two good size bedrooms. The pool area is very good and the roof terrace is fantastic. You can watch the sunrise in the morning, and when in the evening every other villa has lost the sun, you can sit up there and spend at least couple of hours still enjoying the sun. At night the stars come out - a fantastic place for a night cap....
I would recommend this villa to anyone, only one warning a car is a must.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

sunset villa a magic place

We arrived in Crete in late May, what a fantastic time of the year for the island, it was stunning. The island was lush and verdant with an abundance of flowers along the road on our drive to Sunset Villa. Finding the villa was not easy off the main drag but what a spot! The villa is situated on the side of a valley with sea views one way and mountains the other. The villa is comfortable with a large kitchen dining living area. The bedrooms are a decent size. The master bedroom doors open up on to the pool area which is lovely. The bathroom is also a good size with a powerful shower. All the villa was very clean and well equipped but it's the outside areas that made it for us. The pool/dining area is totally private, good for long days sunbathing or even longer lunches in the sunshine. And in the evening when the other villas have lost the sun you go up to the roof terrace where the sun still shines. We spent most of our early evenings up there watching the world go by and the sun go down with a gin and tonic until we hoped in the car and went out for dinner to a nearby taverna or into Rethymnon which is at most twenty mins away. I would recommend this lovely villa to anyone. A car is essential.
