Having viewed pictures of Villa Karibu online over and over again before we set off for Portugal, we had high hopes for a truly memorable holiday. Upon arriving we were right to set our hopes so high. As we walked through the heavy wooden front door into the lobby, we were greeted with the beautiful interior which pictures do not do justice and the most breathtaking view. From the living room we had a full panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. The villas many rooms were beautifully laid out whilst the outdoor area is truly a sight to behold. Having a terrace and pool which look out to the Ocean is incredible. One morning whilst eating breakfast on the terrace looking out to sea, we saw 15-20 dolphins come right in to shore to feed. It was very surreal. This was on the first day as well! Having our own private path down to the beach, we took full advantage of fishing from the shore which was full of fish. Whilst we could have had a fully content holiday just staying at the villa enjoying all it had to offer, less that 5 minutes down the road was the Albufiera Marina. Full of restaurants and a port for stunning excursions, we were spoiled for choice on what to do and most importantly, what to eat! One place I highly recommend is Nosolo Italia, a pizzeria and ice cream shop that serves giant salads and the nicest crepes around. Also many, many thanks to Andre, this lovely gentleman made sure we had everything we needed to ensure we enjoyed our stay. To conclude, Villa Karibu gave us the most amazing holiday, one we will not soon forget. No complaints, only praise for a perfect location, perfect view and a perfect holiday.
