My husband and I have been renovating homes for decades and he is a retired master carpenter and i a retired real estate broker so we have a real feel for great properties and had a eye on this one for years before it came on the market. We wanted a home on a lake with mountain views, with a country feel but all the amenities of a resort and found it in Hot Springs Village. We are hikers and especially love fall hiking here in the village and the surrounding areas. You will find us on the lake either in a hobie cat or on a windsurfer or swimming most any summer day. Winter hiking is great here. The terrain is really interesting without the foliage. We love the availability of having 9 golf courses to chose from within minutes of our home and you can play year round here.
linda and charlie purchased this house in 2012
We decided to purchase this property because we live on Lake Desoto ourselves and thought it would be great to invest in a house that we could share with others so that they too might enjoy Hot Springs Village and the amenities that go with living here. The home has a slightly rustic interior which gives it a cabin feel. The setting is very quiet and peaceful.
Lake Desoto has wonderful mountain views and is great for water sports, such as swimming, fishing, windsurfing, boating, and skiing.
Some of my most favorite hiking trails are just minutes from this house.
Close to the front gate where you can easily find Walmart, restaurants, and easy access to Hot Springs.
all 8 golf courses are from 5 minutes to 15 minutes away.
Lake Desoto has a sandy beach, and a marina.
The fitness center here in Hot Springs Village is superb, there is up to date equipment, many fitness classes such as yoga,Pilates, step, aquatic classes, and spinning classes.
There are tennis courts and outdoor pool and restaurants within minutes of the home.
We love the huge treed level lot surrounded on two sides by Lake Desoto, the inside of the house with its vaulted wooded ceiling, natural stone fireplace, and open floor plan the screened in porch looking out at the mountains and the lake. Easy steps going downstairs to the large den and 2 bedrooms the walkout patio with its redwood arbor. The previous owners were railroad people and placed railroad lights at the entrance to the property and planted trees on both sides of the long driveway going to the property. They clearly had a well thought out vision when they designed and built this lovely property.
