It is only 6 minutes drive from Dungarvan town and 35 minutes from Waterford City with Cork Airport only 45 minutes away and approximatly two hours drive from Shannon Aerport. Dungarvan is a market town and has a new shopping centre and numerous first class restaurants. There is sea fishing, swimming, hill walking, golfing with Four championship Golf courses in the immediate area and is only a short distance away from Lismore, Youghal and Ardmore and its exelent beach.

LOCATION : THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED ONE HOUR FROM CORK AIRPORT ,TWO HOURS FROM SHANNON , AND THREE HOURS FROM DUBLIN AND EIGHT MINUTES BY CAR FROM DUNGARVAN TOWN . THE PROPERTY IS WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE OF THREE PUBS AND ONLY 200 METRES FROM THE LOCAL SUPERMARKET AND SMALL RESTAURANT.

EATING OUT: THERE ARE MANY TOP CLASS RESTERAUNTS IN DUNGARVAN, MOST OF THE PUBS AROUND THE AREA ALSO DO HI QUALITY FOOD.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: HILL WALKING, SWIMMING, SHORE FISHING, DEEP SEA FISHING, THERE ARE FOUR TOP CLASS GOLF COARSE IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA.

Das Ferienhaus ist sauber, groß und geräumig, bietet genügend Platz für bis zu 10 Personen, wir waren nur zu fünft und haben uns auch sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küche mit Essbereich ist außerordentlich geräumig und auch gut ausgestattet. Es fehlte nur die Kaffeemaschine, da haben wir halt Tee getrunken.
Leider hat fast den gesamten Aufenthalt die Heizung nicht funktioniert. Gott sei Dank war es nicht so kalt, dass wir unbedingt einheizen mussten. Einen kleinen Holzofen gibt es im Wohnzimmer.

Der Vermieter hat die Kaution und die gesamte Miete im voraus verlangt. Das hat uns nicht so gefallen, da wir keine Adresse hatten und keine Erfahrungen mit dem Vermieter vorlagen. Wir haben die Adresse nach der Bezahlung dann aber erhalten und auch gut zum Haus gefunden. Es hat also geklappt, obwohl wir es nicht in Ordnung fanden, dass wir nicht einen Teil der Miete nach der Ankunft vor Ort zahlen konnten.

Die Gegend ist relativ einsam, man braucht unbedingt ein Auto und muss ziemlich lang fahren, wenn man mal nach Dublin oder zum Ring of Kerry will. Das Haus liegt auch nicht so unmittelbar am Meer, wie man den Eindruck hat. Vor Ort kann man weder baden noch surfen, dazu musss man einige Kilometer an einen Strand fahren. Der Ausblick vom Haus auf das Meer ist allerdings wirklich sehr schön.

Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft empfehlen.
