Phuket Vacation Rental apartment: Ao Yon Bay, Cape Panwa

My husband and I decided to escape the dreadful winter this year and rented this fabulous apartment for 3 weeks. We were so glad we did - it is hard to believe it's the same planet when you can sit up in bed with a coffee and your sunglasses on in the morning looking out the gorgeous blue sea and sky. The apartment is immaculately clean, and extremely comfortable. I would also like to compliment Nick the owner who gave us lots of valuable information before we arrived as well as checking that it was all going ok while we were there. Mrs Pond (also excellent) was also on hand although we didn't feel the need to call on her too much.

If like us you would like to skip Blackpool in the sun (Patong), yet be surrounded by 5 star facilities yet not too far from real life Phuket - then is for you. We generally had the whole development to ourselves so added to the peace and relaxation required. A car is pretty essential for this quiet corner of paradise although there are excellent little eateries on the beach down the road - so you won't feel too isolated. Well we did finally pull ourselves away from paradise but am already longing for that view again. We do intend returning one day and have already recommended Cove Penthouse friends here in Scotland. Can't wait....................

The Cove Penthouse is truly a wonderful experience. Although you are not in a hotel environment you can still get everything you need at a moments notice. The care taker of the property, Ms. Pond, can get you anything whether it may be a a run to the supermarket, arranging a tour or a car. She can even pick up your favorite bottle of wine. The area is quaint, very safe and the views are breath taking. I will definitely opt to stay here on my next Phuket vacation.

WOW!! Never in my life have I stayed in such an amazing place!!
I have been airline crew for over 15 years and have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world but non come close to this!!
The owner of the apartment sent us a comprehensive guide of Phuket before departure. We contacted his recommended car hire agent upon arrival in Phuket and then we were off!! Finding the apartment was very easy and we couldn't believe our eyes upon arrival-it really is pure paradise!! There is the most amazing infinity pool with views over the sea which the children (5 and 7) loved. The gardens which it's set in display some of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen, with an abundance of butterflies fluttering by.
The ground floor of the apartment has a grand lobby which leads to two vast ensuite bedrooms which behold the most breathtaking view over the palm trees to the sea beyond.In the mornings we used to open the blinds and laze in our beds taking it all in.
Up the marble and glass staircase is the open plan gigantic lounge,dining room,kitchen also beholding a 180 degree panoramic view to the sea.You really have to see it to believe it!!
It has all the facilities a family could wish for-cable T.V,a DVD player,a washing machine,tumble drier,iron and a kitchen to die for!!
When we weren't eating amazing italian style pizzas/thai cuisine at the pirates bar down the road to the left, or lobster,gigantic prawns at the beach bar around the corner by the novotel hotel or at any of the other recommended restaurants by the owner, we cooked gourmet meals in the fully equipted kitchen (after a visit to the local tescos, which was also better than any in England-huge!!) and dined at the oversized table taking in the view!!
There are many intesting things to do on the island when not having fun on your almost deserted beach. We went to the aquarium,on an elephant trek,chartered a boat to reach some of the nearby idyllic islands.Drove all round the island-you can never get lost!!
We really can't wait to visit again. This apartment is truelly a cut above the rest.
