Set on the edge of the village, this charming cottage invites guests to unwind and relax in the pretty terraced gardens with its vine-covered terrace and generously sized pool. In the evenings, nearby Vejer’s cosmopolitan atmosphere and large choice of Spanish, French, Italian and Moroccan restaurants may tempt you, although closer to home, Santa Lucia’s excellent La Tajea or Castilleria serve some of the best cuisine in the area. It’s hard to tear yourself away from this relaxing spot but with the golden sandy uncrowded beaches of this unsophisticated coastline, the many interesting historic cities and whitewashed villages all within a short drive, there is plenty to explore! There is a master double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a twin bedrooms with adjacent full bathroom along with the open plan living-dining-kitchen area. Due to the many terraces this house is not suited to toddlers or very young children, nor is it really ideal for the less mobile.

From Tarifa, the Costa de la Luz runs like a golden ribbon westwards to Cádiz and beyond to the border with Portugal. The Spanish themselves favour this Atlantic shore, long stretches of dunes, anchored by pine and eucalyptus trees. Here, you can indulge yourself – you haven’t lived until you’ve feasted on Sanlucar de Barrameda’s giant prawns or the fresh tuna from Conil. Go ‘on safari’ in the Doñana National Park’s bush land, a twitchers’ paradise where black kites swoop and white spoonbills from Africa come to breed each year. Or head inland, past the giant silhouettes of Osborne’s bull and Sandeman’s señor which flag up the sherry vineyards and the bodegas of Jerez itself. One of the jewels of this coast is the small fortress town of Vejer de la Frontera, a dazzle of sugar-cube houses high on a ridge. A day can easily slip by as you admire balconies and patios and intricate window grilles – or enjoy tapas accompanied by a glass of chilled Manzanilla in one of its friendly bars.

Additional information about rental rates

  • SAVE 100 EUROS PER WEEK on all departures between 26 October 2009 and 25 March 2010 ONLY.
  • We would expect that all our clients will care and respect for their holiday accommodation as if it was their own. However, experience has shown that this is not always the case. Therefore we are forced to ask our clients to lodge a security deposit for each self-catering property to a value of 500pounds or 650euros. This deposit must be paid a minimum three full weeks prior to your holiday start date and will be refunded with three full weeks after vacating the property. Once we have received the deposit, we will then send you your driving instructions on how to find and access your property.
    Clients should maintain the property in the same state of repair and condition as at the date of your arrival at the property and should leave the property in the same state of cleanliness and general order and repair in which you found it. Clients are kindly requested to replace breakages prior to departure or to leave an appropriate amount of euros to cover the cost of replacement.
  • We reserve the right to deduct any related charges from this deposit if items are broken or need to be replaced, or if the property is left in an unreasonable state and extra cleaning is necessary. Otherwise the deposit will be refunded in full three weeks after the holiday.

There is a third bedroom with Large Double Bed with en suite shower room. This is a seperate building, accessed externally and suitable for an older teenager, nanny, grandparent or single adult. VERY limited storage space in this third bedroom.
