An amazing "cottage by the sea" experience for our family!!!

Acacia House was perfect for us. Shannon and Susan took care of every possible detail to make the house beautiful and comfortable but still kid-friendly. We appreciated the extra details such as beach towels and mats, fluffy towels and linens, and a garden hose to clean off sand before coming in the mud room.
We have 4 boys under 10 so we loved playing games at the kitchen table and patio table outside, kicking the soccer ball in the yard, spontaneous walks to the beach, riding scooters on the quiet street out front, and the bunk beds. And *I* loved having on-site laundry! We did a lot of eating in and found the kitchen to be well-equipped and functional. It was just very easy to make Acacia House our home for 2 weeks.
The location was just great for our family. We had the benefit of being in a private location with a quiet beach for exploring and chasing sand crabs, while also being so close to Parksville with all its amenities and more beaches to explore. We went to Englishman River Falls, Coombs Market, Qualicum, Cathedral Falls, Cameron Lake and Nanaimo without ever being far from "home." We had family drive down to visit us from Comox and they loved the house also!
We were so impressed by this place and by the responsiveness and care from its owners. We hope to make it back to the Island for another family vacation soon and we would certainly stay at Acacia House again.
