Sanborn Cottage: Built in a traditional post and beam style, this attractive home offers peace and quiet in its wooded setting off the Crooked Road in rural Bar Harbor. With its central island location, you’re never too far from any of the Island’s offerings! If you prefer to stay put, settle in on the spacious deck overlooking the property’s boxed flower gardens, or take the woodland trail to Frenchman’s Hill Pond and picnic area.
FIRST FLOOR: Sanborn Cottage features an open floor plan, with hardwood and tile floors at this level. The Kitchen area offers a center island with gas cook stove and seating for up to four. Designed for ease of conversation and cooking, this sunlit area with cathedral ceilings is open to both the Living and Dining Areas, with table seating for up to eight. Exit to either the Deck or Screened Porch from the Dining Area or to the Sunroom, which is overflowing with books and games and provides a separate and quiet spot for the younger crowd. Family Room with queen sleeper sofa has access to a Full Bath with shower. There is also a mudroom off the Kitchen, great for depositing boots and coats after a long day of fun.
SECOND FLOOR: Master Bedroom with Queen bed. Second Bedroom with Queen bed and third Bedroom is fitted with Twin beds. Full Bath with tub and shower.
LOWER LEVEL: Head downstairs to a very new Family Room with half bathroom.
PORCH/DECK: You’re sure to enjoy the new 12’ x 18’ screened porch off the Dining Room along with the original outside Deck overlooking garden planters and the woods beyond.
