Photos and Description of the Cannes vacation apartment rental A spacious & light 2 bedroom apartment in the 'Carre d'Or' of Cannes.

Very centrally located in the most prestigious area of Cannes; the 'Carre d'Or'. This apartment is very popular both for conference and holiday rentals. Just 2 minutes walk away from the beach and seven minutes from the Festival Hall. The main shopping street, Rue d'Antibes is behind the apartment and you will be surrounded by lovely restaurants, bars and shops. There's no need for a car! The apartment is on the 1st floor (there is a lift) has an open, spacious feel and has been newly decorated. There is a large, sunny balcony. There are two twin bedrooms which can also be configured as king size, one bathroom with two basins, bath, shower and washing machine and also a separate toilet. The living area is open plan, sunny and spacious with WIFI, flat screen satellite TV and dvd player. There is air conditioning throughout the apartment. The kitchen area has ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, iron/board and is well equipped. It's the ideal base for business and pleasure.

A really superb location right in the heart of Cannes, it's just a two minute walk to 'La Croisette' the sea front of Cannes and three minutes walk to the Festival / Congress Hall. This two bedroom apartment is within the district known as the 'Carre d'Or' and surrounded by the best restaurants, clubs and designer boutiques as well as the shops of Rue d'Antibes and the food market at Place Gambetta. The main train station, airport bus and bus station are 10 minutes walk away, as are the old town and the harbour. You really won't need a car. This apartment is ideal for congresses and festivals and also for family holidays near the beach.

Perfect location: This apartment is just perfectly located for everything you might need from a holiday. It's 1 minute to La Croisette for beachside strolling and to the private beaches with great restaurants for lunch, or to miles of public beaches.In the other direction it's just 1 minute to Rue d'Antibes; Cannes most fashionable shopping street with something for everyone from Dior and Chanel to Zara and Miss Sixty. Just walk out of the apartment for great cafes and restaurants; nothiong beats lunch and a glass of chilled wine in any one of the excellent restaurants on the beach. There's a great boulangerie for morning croissants just round the corner and it's a 5 minute walk to the fresh food market at Place Gambetta. 10 minutes strolling takes you to the yacht harbour where you can admire the luxury yachts and fishing boats and it's also 10 minutes walk to the old town of 'Le Suquet' with cobbled winding streets and the Forville market. The airport shuttle stops 10 minutes away from the apartment.

Close by: Ferry trips to the beautiful Lerins islands;only 15 minutes away by boat to both St Marguerite (famous for its fortress that held captive the man in the Iron Mask) and St Honorat with it's monastery and vineyards. Both islands have good coastal walks. In summer there are also boat trips to St Tropez and Monaco. In winter there are great ski resorts such as Isola 2,000, Valberg and Auron, all accessible by bus or car for the day. Antibes, Nice, Villefranche sur Mer and Monaco are all easily accessible by train (the station is 7 minutes walk away from the apartment).

Reccommended for: Couples looking for a romantic getaway, conferences/ festivals, girls getaways, families with young children. It's a great base from which to explore, or just simply to relax.

Thanks for the use of your lovely apartment.
The apartment itself is lovely and fresh, and being able to step out onto the balcony is great - I enjoyed many cups of tea ( too many french pastries ! ) and glasses of wine on that terrace.
The central location is suprisingly tranquil with the benefit of being 2 minutes walk to everything. But I particularly enjoyed the fact I could be on 'La Croisette' for a seaside stroll within minutes and a stroll or apertifs at a wonderful bar we discovered called La Notte.
Having the kitchen also was a nice alternative for those nights when we felt like 'a night in'.
Cannes as a place to visit was lovely - it had a nice relaxed atmosphere.
Thanks again and hopefully we will be back.
