Attractive, centrally located traditional 19th century stone house in Molivos, near the beach, offers a 2 bedroom, both en suite ground floor apartment of 90 sq metres that is central heated and tastefully furnished with modern new appliances, sleeps 6. The highlight of this apartment is the wrap around patio with stunning 180 degree views of both the mountain and the beautiful bay of Molivos/ harbour with it's magical sunsets. It is centrally located and within walking distance of all the shops, tavernas, beach and harbour, you are amongst the locals but with your own privacy. The private entrance to this property leads onto the large terrace which has it's own barbeque and Greek stone oven as well as a selection of sun loungers, dining table, chairs and a shaded pergola area, ideal for a romantic evening over a bottle of wine, watching the sun go down.

Lesbos is the third largest Greek island and is the perfect place to visit for people who want to experience real Greece & can be reached by charter or flight only. Molivos is on the northern tip of the island, the town is dominated by the Byzantine castle. Narrow cobbled streets offer a selection of shops,cafes and tavernas in the Agora (market area) and wind down to the picturesque harbour. Molivos has its own shingle beach but a few metres into the water it changes to soft sand, turn around & you have fantastic view of the town and castle. There is a small park with swimming pool by the sea and watersports are available. In spring /autumn Lesbos is famous for birdwatching, around Molivos there are many places to walk and see beautiful wild flowers and admire the views. Nightlife is typically Greek with live music bars and open air disco by the beach for the youngsters, an open air cinema with films in English mid season plus wide choice of interesting bars & cafes in the town.

Flights: There are direct charter flights to Lesbos from the UK on Thursdays and Saturdays from London Gatwick and Manchester from May to mid October. British Airways, Olympic and Easyjet have scheduled flights to Athens all year round, from London or Manchester, with connecting flights on to Lesbos . Aegean Airlines started a new route in 2008 from Stansted to Lesbos with a change in Athens at competitive rates. Direct charter flights are also available in summer from Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and Norway.

Local Area: It's easy to hire a car or motorbike to see the island which can be picked up at the airport or locally. A few miles from the village are the hot springs of Eftalou with their therapeutic healing properties. Petra is five minutes drive away with it's church on the rock in the centre of the village and a sandy beach.

Wonderful accommodation! The website is accurate but understated. This was our fourth visit to Molyvos and we've never stayed anywhere as special - the short ( but steep and good for the legs) climb up the hill is well worth it for the spectactular views from the terrace ( the word balcony doesn't do it justice). You have everything you need and Lana and her family are on hand if you need them, but totally discreet. In short, I couldn't recommend the place highly enough!

A lovely apartment with amazing views

I stayed in this apartment for a week with my sister and, apart from the weather (we had 3 cloudy days) everything was perfect. The apartment is very comfortable and is in a very quiet position with amazing views over the mountains and the sea. A wonderful spot to sit in the evening with a glass of wine! Lana and Richard are both very friendly and helpful and their restaurant is very good. We will definately visit again and would recommend it to anyone.

A real holiday

We have just returned from a real holiday in Richard and Lana's apartment--that is, we managed to totally relax, slow down, and pass the entire day just having breakfast on the terrace, going to the beach in the afternoon when it got a bit less hot, returning for sunset and a drink on the terrace again (need to get back by 7.30 p.m. to see it) then think about which cobbled street to stroll down to the harbour for dinner. We have children aged 16, 12 and 4 so quite a wide range of needs to cater for and this was perfect for everyone. Richard and Lana are kind, generous and tolerant (our children squabble--well, fight-- and they live upstairs so I'm sure we disturbed them but they were completely charming). I can't stop thinking about our holiday and we'll definitely return. The flat is well-laid out, smart, comfortable, everything works, and the views from the terrace really are incredible and made us all feel quite awe-struck. Thank you so much. The only jarring note was that shops in Molivos are very expensive, the food prices make self-catering something of a struggle, but Richard had a solution which we'll take up next year. A Week in Molivos

We stayed at the apartment mid July for a week. The pictures of the property on the website, really don't do it justice. The terrace gets the sunshine all day long and also offers shade. It was really beautiful to sit and eat outside in the morning and early evening. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed and the whole property was immaculate. There was air con, but we never felt the need to put it on.
Upon arrival there was a welcome food parcel of basics such as milk, bread, wine, coffee and fruit. The owners arranged a taxi to collect us from the airport and take us back at the end of the holiday which cost 60 euro each way. As the owners lived upstairs they were around should we have needed anything, but at the same time they were very discreet and we completely forgot they were there!
I would definately recommend this apartment.

.I loved the location of this private apartment which was situated within minutes of the main shopping street, but was still very quiet, and the views were some of the best I have ever seen in Molyvos.
I thought that the apartment was designed to a high standard with a new and modern kitchen and a bonus of both bedrooms having en suite facilities. We found the place was very clean and we appreciated the complimentary wine, fruit and bread on arrival. Thank you and we will be back.
