Fairbanks Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Neat, clean, conveniently located. Waterfront property featuring wildlife.

Lovely river setting on the bus line and within walking distance to the Tanana Valley Farmer's Market, the Tanana Valley Fairgrounds, and Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge. Close proximity to Alaska Railroad Train Depot and local eatery.

The living area faces the south and is very sunny.

Perennial flowers and flowering trees compliment the water front lawn.

Local wildlife such as moose, beaver, and waterfowl can be viewed year round. Dog teams use the river access to run their team on in the winter and can be watched comfortably from indoors or out on the deck.

In the winter you can drive your snow machine right onto the slough and out to the Chena River to destinations like the Pike's Waterfront Lodge or the Chena Pump House.

The lot next door has space available to park your motorhome, boat, or other large vehicles.

Great stay

  • 4 of 5
We had a great stay in Fairbanks. It was so nice to come home to a home like setting each day. Every room was spacious and comfortably appointed. The kitchen was filled with many extras, the beds were very comfortable and the outside deck had a view of the slough behind the house. The location of the apartment was perfect in that it was close to easy access to roads we needed to take for sightseeing, shopping, the airport and the railway station.

Owner's Response: I appreciate the comment of the convenience of the location of this particular vacation rental. Be sure to take advantage of the bus line if you are avoiding a car rental. It is also a comfortable walk to the Farmer's Market and hiking trails. Bike trails lead to Pioneer Park, the University, and downtown.

Great accommodation in Fairbanks

  • 5 of 5
Excellent location, this clean and very spacious apartment has everything you could want for a holiday or extended stay in Fairbanks. Hosts are excellent and it seems as though nothing would be too much trouble (the fresh blueberry cake delivered to our room was a real bonus!!)

A highlight of our trip and we would highly recommend willow street to anyone looking for top shelf accommodation in Fairbanks.

Owner's Response: We really enjoy meeting guests from all over the world and sharing our knowledge about the area when needed. It is the highest compliment to hear them say that they are planning to return and stay with us here at Willow St. or at A Moose in the Garden B&B.

Wildlife in the yard

  • 5 of 5
Photos can not accurately capture the beauty and comfort I discovered at the vacation rental property 408751. The immaculate, beautifully decorated, and quiet apartment is near the fairgrounds, Creamers Field migratory bird viewing, trails, and shopping. From the patio door, we watched a beaver waddling along the edge of the water in search of a tree to nibble upon. I would certainly return, as well as, recommend this vacation rental ot my friends and family.

Owner's Response: Creamer's Field Migratory Wildlife Refuge is within a few minutes walking distance from the property. During migration the swans, geese, ducks, cranes and songbirds of all kinds are thrilling to watch. You may enter the farmhouse to learn about the history of the dairy and how it became a wildlife refuge. There are displays for the family and helpful hosts.

Cute and cozy in downtown Fairbanks

  • 5 of 5
A cozy and comfortable stay. We loved the views of the beaver dam in the back yard. Very convenient to all the major hot spots in Fairbanks. The owner is very responsible and friendly.

Owner's Response: The beaver are active in the early morning hours and often come up into the yard and chew on branches and twigs. One spring I looked out and saw a large adult had chewed off a lower branch of a spruce tree I had decorated with lights and was hauling it off lights and all!

Perfect for Families

  • 5 of 5
Our family was looking for a place to stay for our first visit to Fairbanks. We love vacation rentals because they allow for privacy, but are still a great place for family together time.

This home was perfect! It not only met our needs and expectations, but far exceeded them. This place is perfect for people looking to have room for the family to spend some time together, and still has two bedrooms for private space. There were huge closets and a full bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we could possibly need. The back yard is big and beautiful with the river running at the edge of the property. We spent several nights on the deck enjoying the peacefulness of our surroundings. There was even the resident beaver we saw most nights!

My wife and I have stayed at several VR’s and one thing we appreciated the most here was the décor. We have stayed in places that feel like you are imposing in someone else’s home, or places that feel sterile and institutional. This was comfortably decorated and had appointments that rivaled some of the best hotels we have stayed in. It felt like a place we could call home.

The house is centrally located, close to the airport, downtown and the college. Kathy was willing to bend over backwards to help us with whatever we might need and was available to answer any questions or provide suggestions for things to see or do in the area. She also went out of her way to make us more comfortable. More importantly she allowed us our space and wasn’t constantly watching over our shoulder.

We have already recommended this place to our family, friends and co-workers, and we would love to stay here again. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Fairbanks area, we highly recommend this place!

Located on the city bus line, this property is within walking distance to the Tanana Valley Farmer's Market, Tanana Valley Fairgrounds, and Creamer's Migratory Wildlife Refuge.

It is a short distance to both the Alaska Railroad Depot and the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

Bike paths connect you to all the local city sights and outlying rural areas.

The property faces the Noyes Slough which is a part of the Chena River. During the gold rush era, there was a paddle boat that traveled the waterway. Now beavers, ducks, muskrats, moose, and other wildlife enjoy the quiet waters that flow along its banks.
