The major attraction of this four level home is its location with beautiful views of Howe Sound, the Georgia Straits, Keats Island and the Coastal Mountains north of Vancouver with exceptional hiking nearby. The most unique quality is its peacefulness and the friendly and inviting atmosphere of the town and Sunshine Coast.
The master bedroom suite, on the upper level is large and airy with a king size bed and comfortable seating area and bathroom with whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. There is also an office upstairs with two single beds. The entry level consists of an powder room, 'open plan' kitchen, dining area, and living room with a wood burning fireplace and access to a deck perfect for watching the marine traffic and boating activities. The third level has a sitting room with a queen size Murphy bed, a bathroom with shower, a laundry room and access to a small patio. The lowest level is a large open room with two twin beds, a sofa and wood burning stove. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, soaking tub and amazing views of the Sound.

We fell in love with the beauty and peacefulness of this small unique community as well as the incredible summer weather as compared to Arizona. It is unique in that it can only be reached by drive-on ferry from Horseshoe Bay just north of Vancouver. The one-way trip is 40 minutes. Because of that it is a very quiet vacation retreat, but there are summer farmers' markets, arts and craft markets and community activities. A small hospital is 20km away in Sechelt with air lift capabilities to Vancouver.
We are less than 1km from Lower Gibsons. Major shopping areas are in Upper Gibsons or Sechelt which requires driving. Our favorite ritual is watching the boating traffic on Howe Sound and looking for the elusive bald eagles as they fly by while we are sitting on the deck sipping our wine.
We rented this property for 10 days this September. The pictures on the VRBO website do not do it justice, as the house was exceptional. Our family appreciated all the amenities and well stocked kitchen. The location was great and the views splendid. The main living was large with an open concept which was ideal for entertaining expended family members for dinners and memorable evenings., The outdoor space was enjoyed by all our adult family members.
Our stay at this rental home was perfect. From the booking to final payment everything was seamless and easy. The owner was accommodating and the property manager fantastic.
The listing was as advertised and we were surprised at how much more there was. The home was clean and well maintained. The property manager was very helpful and answered all of our questions. I would recommend the property to anyone looking for a very nice place to stay. There are plenty of good restaurants to try in Gibsons and along the sunshine coast that are short drive away.
The home is large and beautiful and we could not think of a better place to stay in Gibsons. The home is close to town, and yet quiet. The views are unmatched and the amenities all there.
Beds are comfy, the kitchen is large, and there are ample spaces to relax and enjoy.
The rental may seem expensive, but it's totally worth every penny. Stay a full week to enjoy the area and the accommodation.

My colleague and I have been renting this house for a month and a half and all I have to say is AMAZING.We travel from the east coast for work and it is nice to have a home to come back to every night. The comfort level is extraordinary. The views are out of this world. The pictures on the web site are great but once you get to the house, the pictures do not do it justice. You have to see for yourself. The amenities are more than sufficient, the decks are great, but you have to check out the view from the lower bathroom. The property was absolutely spotless and the manager, who is fluent in six languages, was excellent. I am glad our work was in the off season because we were very, very lucky to get this house. Anybody who is travelling for a vacation, look this rental up first, you will not be disappointed.
Stunning view, peaceful, and well kept property. Everything we needed and more was there. Ample amount of space to house our party of 6. We will definitely be making another trip out to this property for future retreats/ getaways.
It was an excellent and impressive experience; the house looks excellent and it has an exquisite view.
However 2 days after we left the property manager cashed the damage deposit check on very thin grounds, and when confronted she literally invented reasons that are completely an utterly untrue amd refused to give me any contact at the company she pretended she called a technician from.
For this reason I do not recommend anybody to rent this property, unless you really don't care about the deposit.
Tomorrow I will report this matter to Better Business Bureau
We spent last week at this beautiful home, I can't say enough, we were so suprised, as the pictures do not do it justice! This was our first trip to the sunshine coast, it could not have been better. Thank you to the homeowners for sharing your little piece of heaven, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would not hesitate to recommend. Not one detail was overlooked, thank you!
Numerous artist and craft studios and shops in the area and on nearby islands, live music performances, August book festival, summer fiber arts festival, other varied events especially in the summer.
