Jerry and Linda Schmersahl bought the property for Turkey Creek Cove in 1979. They have always loved the mountains and when they saw Turkey Creek, knew it was going to be their home. They traveled for many years all over the world but always come home to the NC mountains. Their two dogs, Maggie and Jack love running and hiking with them in their own piece of heaven. They have 155 acres to hike on and enjoy.
Jerry and LInda came to visit family that have lived here since the area was first settled. Jerry can trace his family back to the early 1800's. They love the great outdoors and bring their grandchildren to camp in the Smokies every summer. They are also passholders for Biltmore Estate love to go wine tasting.
Turkey Creek runs through the property and is so peaceful to listen to on the front porch of the cabin. After a busy day, it is very enjoyable to relax and have a glass of complimentary Biltmore wine and watch the sun set over the Mountains.
We are 45 minutes from Biltmore Estate, 60 minutes from Cherokee Harrah's Casino, and 60 minutes from Dollywood. You can also bring your own horse and ride in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We have pasture and stables for your own horses.
