You are invited to spend a relaxing vacation at our animal sanctuary. The Kindness Manor is a luxury home in a beautiful part of southeast Wyoming. Located high atop a bluff on the edge of the 1,000 acre Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary, you’ll enjoy a spectacular forty mile, 360 degree view.
The Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary is home to a variety of animals formerly used in research. During your stay you are welcome to spend quality time with our dogs, cats, horses, sheep, pigs and pet rats. Walk a dog or two, play with some cats, brush the horses, and so on. Be careful; you might just fall in love and want to adopt one or more of our four-legged friends! Enjoy watching other animals as well; the Kindness Ranch is home to deer, elk, antelope, a wide variety of birds, and much more. Indeed, the sanctuary is an Eden for all animals.
Just off of State Highway 270, the Kindness Manor is an easy three hour drive north of Denver, an hour and half from Cheyenne or Casper. We’re five miles north of Hartville, a quaint town of 63 people. The nearby town of Guernsey has a municipal airport for your convenience.
Besides visiting the sanctuary animals, people find a lot of other activities. The nearby Guernsey State Park is known for its excellent swimming beaches and a variety of water activities, including skiing. Golfers will enjoy an 9-hole golf course in the nearby town of Guernsey. Take a short hike or visit the historic CCC museum, responsible for many of the park’s structures. Within a short drive of the Kindness Manor there are many interesting historic places to visit, including Fort Laramie (a national historic site), the Register Cliffs, and the Oregon Trail Ruts. Or be adventurous and hike to the top of Laramie Peak.
