Mooring your boat on your own private dock where your kids can spend the whole day and never get bored? Tearing through huge powder at an amazing ski mountain and then returning to your lakefront retreat in town where there may be no snow and it is warm enough to sit on the deck?
Whatever the season or activity our 3 bedroom lake house in Sandpoint is the perfect home base for a relaxing, fun filled break. Sandpoint has a unique vibe that will quickly draw you in and make you want to come back again and again.

We are an active family of four who all love the water, skiing and boarding. Our family time is a top priority and we have found no place we enjoy more than the lake at Sandpoint.

We fell in love with Sandpoint & the Lake Pend Orielle area when we first drove through in 2006. The lake is one of the most spectacular places we have visited in North America. Sandpoint has such a great vibe. There are so many great restaurants and downtown is alive with great local live music.
Schweitzer Mountain Resort is an easy 20 minute drive and has some of the best skiing and riding we have found. Schweitzer is a real hidden gem and even on a busy weekend you will never wait long in a lift line.
Our professional and family activities really keep us busy and it is such a pleasure to go to Sandpoint, park the car and hardly touch it again until we leave. Everything you want to do is right at your doorstep or a pleasant walk away.
One of our favorite outings and one we try and do every summer is to take the boat down the lake to Hope or across to the Lodge at Sandpoint and have an unforgettable meal at one of the great lakeside restaurants. The late afternoon boat ride, sunset, dinner and trip back is always a memorable highlight.

We were very lucky to book this wonderful property last minute when we decided to go on a road trip. Owners were very friendly and easy to work with.
We stayed 2 nights before going on to Coeur D'Alene but if it had been available we would have been content to just stay put. So relaxing!!
We prefer our accommodations to be very spacious, clean, comfortable, well equipped with all the extras and we were not disappointed with this property.
They have thought of all the little extras to make your stay enjoyable.
We highly recommend this lake house and definitely hope to return ourselves.
this house is all that it's advertised. We shared the house with 2 other couples and everyone had a great time. The property has a great view of the mountains. Really close to town. There wasn't anything that the house needed that the owners hadn't thought of from the coffee maker to the fireplace.
This was a perfect home for our family get-together consisting of 3 couples and a toddler. The floor to ceiling views of the lake and lots of natural light in the living and dining areas are shown in the website photos. Its even better in person.
The master suite is very large and the other bedrooms quite comfortable.
The open kitchen had everything we needed.
Great spot, the owner was easy to work with. - highly recommend.
This home was so great, we probably can't say enough nice things, but I'll try to sum up what the group loved about it. First, it was clean, well furnished, and tastefully decorated; you notice this as soon as you walk in. Second, there is tons of space. The kitchen is plenty big and nicely appointed with gas range, nice cooking knives, etc. Third, the whole downstairs is pleasant to be in because of all the natural light and the great view of the water (which is right out the back door, down the dock - had it been summer we'd have been swimming). We only used the two bigger bedrooms, the beds were comfy with plenty of blankets etc. The third bedroom is a little cramped since it has the bunk beds in there too, but it would be a perfect room for a two families to put their kiddos in. Lastly, the welcoming gift was a thoughtful touch. Only issue we had was the garage could use a little cleaning out, but we were still able to fit two subarus in there, it was just a little tight. Also, if you're looking to dine out one night, try La Rosa Club Toscano in town, great food and reasonable prices considering the high quality! All in all, this was a perfect base of operations for our day trips up to Schweitzer, the drive was about 20 min and staying in town offered more to do than staying up at the resort, and was significantly more affordable too. You won't regret staying here!
P.S. we all now want a wood burning/gas started fire place in our homes! Seriously, whoever thought up that idea is a genius. The lovely ambiance of a real wood fire, with the simplicity of a 10 second starting process, what more do you want?
We just spent 4 days in late November at this house and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although the unit is connected to a similar unit, it is very large and very nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and good audio and video equipment. Its long dining room table easily handled the 10 people we had for dinner one night. The Living Room/Dining Room has a huge wall of windows looking directly out on Lake Pond d'Oreille and the mountains beyond. In warmer weather it would be delightful to sit on the front deck overlooking the lake. And in the summer the pier would reach out into the lake, but in the winter the water level is lower. On two evenings we could see the beginning of a beautiful sunset, and by walking out on the pier, we could view more of the western sky, which was ablaze with color. It is just a great accommodation.
We recently spent a week at this property and loved it! It was very convenient to be right in town, and we took advantage of it with walks up town and quick trips to the grocery store. We spent most of our time on the beach by the house, I loved that the kids could just go out there and play with no packing up of their toys. We had a boat and loved that it was docked by the house and we could go out quickly on it at any time. We took at trip to Hope Point and also to Willow Bay on the boat, both close distance. We also parked at the Marina and went for supper down town.
The house is also close to Couere de lane (30 minutes), and Silverwood Theme Park (20 minutes). We spent some time checking out the small shops downtown, and of course eating ice cream.
We had 6 adults in the house and 4 kids, there was plenty of room. The futon isn't very comfortable, I also believe there was an air mattress if needed. The area is busy as it is next to the public pier on 3rd Ave, but it didn't bother us. The only thing that would make this house perfect was air conditioning, the week we were there the temperature was 30+ everyday and the house was quite warm. There was lots of beach towels and bedding available. The washer and dryer are very handy can handle a large load.
The family that owns this property is very helpful with any questions or concerns. They were quick to respond to any concerns via email, and even made sure we got a forgotten jacket back.
We tried out the Hydra and Joel's Mexician, both within blocks of the house and they were great. We spotted a park full of food trucks which we will be hoping to hit up on our next trip.
I am always ready to come home from holiday, I can honestly say I wasn't ready to come home from Sandpoint. It was relaxing and enjoyable every minute!!! We have already booked for next year and will be counting down.
Fantastic vacation rental...my 4 sisters and I get together every year for a girls weekend....been doing this for 15 years..this is by far the best place we have ever stayed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house. J
