Built in 2003, this well-stocked home has everything you need to enjoy your visit to DC. Ideal for a couple or family, with Aerobeds available upon request. We take care of the details -- so you don't feel nickel-dimed and can enjoy a hassle-free stay.

King bed. Gas grill on back patio and space for bikes. Reserved, off-street parking space – a rarity on the Hill.

Best of all, our central location means no fighting Washington’s traffic snarls, or paying top dollar for parking -- or parking tickets! Nearby: everything you'd want to see in DC:

The US Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress are a 10-minute stroll away.

Head 4 blocks north, through our neighborhood of historic rowhouses, to get to Metro's Eastern Market station, on the direct route to top destinations -- the Smithsonian, the White House, the Washington Convention Center, the new American Indian museum, the FDR and Jefferson Memorials, Ford's Theatre, the International Spy Museum and more are a 10-minute ride away. Or stay on the subway a bit longer to get to the National Zoo, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Kennedy Center.

To our east is Barracks Row, home to the President's Own (U.S. Marine Corps Band) and the Marine Commandant, and a restaurant row for nightlife. And to our south are the Washington Nationals' new stadium, the Navy Yard and U.S. Department of Transportation, a growing list of restaurants, a trapeze school and soon a velodrome!

On the way back from the National Mall, stop at Eastern Market's produce, meat, dairy and flower stalls -- or pop into one of Barracks Row's cafes, bars or restaurants. Several grocery/drug/liquor stores are within walking/driving distance.

Owners are longtime DC residents and neighbors who are happy to answer questions and share tips for visitors.

The town home was very comfortable, clean and very convenient to restaurants on Barracks Row. The owner gave us great information on transportation easy bus access to the capital and museums. I'd recommend highly.

We loved this area, it was beautiful, safe, and easy to access metro ( 4 short blocks away). We were able to park our car behind the condo, and walk or take the metro everywhere. The condo worked well for us and was clean. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. Everything we needed was there. We traveled with friends & since the bathroom is located in the bedroom we used the screen provided to offer privacy. You would need to be very comfortable with your roommates to make this work. Thankfully we travel well with our friends. This location would be well suited for a couple or small family. Getting to the metro was so easy and there are wonderful eating options in the area. We loved the Eastern Market! Thank you Deborah for your support before & during our visit.

My wife & I stayed at this property from 3/30/13-4/4/13. Property is as described. Very clean and very quiet neighborhood. A MAJOR plus is the off street private parking space provided. In DC this is a real plus! Directions to the property were provided by the owner and were excellent. Just a block from Barracks Row/8th street. Great shops, pubs, restaurants. Close to Eastern Market and Metro Line. VERY responsive owner...A+++++. Try Ted's Bulletin..great food and great atmosphere. We stayed in this owner's property in 2012....we will stay only in this property in 2014.

Delightful stay

This apartment was perfect for my husband and me---we were both in town to do research at the Library of Congress, and it was less than a 10 minute walk away. The bed was comfortable; we couldn't hear anything from the highway nearby. There was plenty of room, and all the couches and tables were well-arranged; it was just an easy, pleasant space to live in temporarily. Internet was fast and reliable.


Two small cons:
- The heating system next to the bedroom is loud. It didn't bother us, but if you're a light sleeper staying during a cold season, it might bother you.
- The knives in the kitchen are really, really dull. Everything else about the kitchen was fine.
