We are pleased to introduce you to 'Bellport Landing', a gracious 1880's home situated on Main Street in the heart of Bellport Village. Our home has been welcoming families and friends to Bellport Village for twenty years as the former 'Great South Bay Inn'.
Now, under new ownership, we are offering you the same wonderful home to those who are looking to independently host a family reunion, accommodate a wedding party, hold a baby shower, or simply to escape the city and enjoy the many wonderful amenities that Bellport Village has to offer. Rent it for the day, the week, or the month. We are committed to making your stay as comfortable as we possibly can.
'Bellport Landing' offers the beauty and charm that you would expect to find in an antique/historic home. It features wood floors throughout, two wood burning fireplaces, detailed molding and double hung windows. The first floor includes a spacious living room and dining room, kitchen, sunroom and three of the six bedrooms. A split staircase off the living room leads to a hallway connecting the other three bedrooms. Having been an 'Inn', the layout of the home affords guests the opportunity to socialize together in the common/public areas but then retreat to their respective private bedroom/bath area.
Bedrooms:
There are six bedrooms in all, each with their own unique character and charm! Each of the three 'master' bedrooms feature a king/queen bed, flat screen TV, and en-suite bathroom. One of the masters has a working fireplace, the other has an alcove with a pull-out sofa bed.
Kitchen:
The kitchen is clean and efficient and fully equipped for the serious chef! It features a commercial Viking six burner stove with griddle and double ovens below, a Subzero refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave.
Dining Room:
The dining room is located in the home's center and is a wonderful space to share a meal together or gather around the bar for cocktails and conversation. The round table can be expanded to seat up to 8 people. French doors open off the dining room to allow access to the sunroom for additional seating.
Living Room:
The living room affords plenty of comfortable sitting areas, whether it be to cozy up the the fireplace, watch TV, play a tune on the piano or catch up on your email (of course, WiFi), you'll find a spot to suit your needs. A second set of french doors also allow access to the sunroom.
Outside Space:
located off the sunroom is a deck which leads to a large brick patio with a pergola. There is plenty of outdoor seating for enjoying a meal or just catching the great westerly sun.
Please note that, like many other older Bellport homes, ours has a cottage located in the back of the property, which we rent out to our tenant, Steve. Steve quietly comes and goes and we ask that you please be respectful of his space and he will not interfere at all with yours.
Once you've gotten comfortable here at home, it's time to venture out and explore Bellport Village. Leave your car in the driveway because you won't need to travel very far!! In less than a five minute walk, you can choose to eat in any one of Bellport's five restaurants or, better yet, pick up dinner at the local market and a bottle of L.I. wine and cook up a feast. How about taking a stroll down historic Bellport Lane. Bellport Lane is lined with beautiful old homes with white picket fences. The Lane will lead you to the marina and yacht club that directly overlooks the Great South Bay. From this spot, Bellport's private ferry delivers residents and their guests to a gorgeous stretch of clean, uncrowded ocean beach. Yes, this is Fire Island National Seashore! You just got here without getting in a car!
