Photos and Description of the Pula - Medulin area vacation house rental In a rural location surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to the sea.

Kod Tereza ia a beautifully renovated Istrian stone house in a traditional farming village. Close to shops, bars, restaurants and within easy reach of the prettiest beaches in the area. There is central heating throughout and air conditioning units in the bedrooms, catering for summer and winter. Accommodation comprises: A spacious living room with large sofa, TV, DVD, wood burning stove; A separate kitchen with dining table and chairs, wood burning stove, cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and all the cutlery and crockery you will need. Two double/twin bedrooms - one with a mezzanine area which has a sofa (can also be made into a bed). There is a bathroom with shower and WC upstairs, and a further WC downstairs. Outside, there is a terrace with tables and chairs and ample parking. Guests are welcome to use the office where there is a washing machine & dryer, and both telephone & Internet access. Guests are also welcome to use the garden, with a water feature, BBQ & pizza oven.

The village of Glavani is only 5 minutes drive from the historic town of Barban and less than 25 minutes drive from the capital of Istria - Pula (20 minutes from Pula airport). It is in a rural location, surrounded by beautiful countryside, but close to shops, bars, banks, restaurants and only 10 minutes drive from the prettiest beaches in the area.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We require a 15% deposit to secure the booking, payable either by Bank Transfer, Credit card or PAYPAL with the balance payable on arrival either by Credit Card or in Cash.
    The invoiced amount must be in Kuna (the local currency). If payment is made in Euros or British pounds, the exchange rate will be the Hypo Alpe Adria Bank mid rate as quoted on the day of receipt (less any commission charged)
  • Prices include PDV (VAT) but Local Tourist taxes and Registration are additional items and will be shown separately on the invoice.
    Local Tourist taxes range from 2 kuna (approx 27 cents) to 4 kunas (approx 55 cents) per adult per night depending on the season. Children under 12 years old pay no taxes, Children between 12 and 18 years old pay half rate taxes.
    The One-off Registration fee is 30 kuna (approx 4 euros) per person.

A Perfect Istrian Get Away!

If you're looking for a quiet, rural Istrian getaway location that is still within easy reach of all the major Istrian sites, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place than Kod Tereza. My family and I have stayed there twice and hope to return many more times. Located in a small Istrian farming community, you quickly feel at home as Nigel and Sue (the wonderful British Ex-Pat hosts of this house who live next door) never intrude on your stay, but at the same time are happy to have you join them on their evening walks--a must in my opinion as you meet their neighbors who frequently bring out wine, bread, or whatever specialty or harvest item is then in season. The facility itself is charmingly rustic on the exterior, but completely remodeled on the inside. The kitchen and bathrooms are all new and the two small woodstoves provide a wonderful ambiance though the central heating system makes them unnecessary if you don't want to deal with them. Everything is exceptionally clean and well-kept-up. A car is certainly necessary to access this location, but once there, everything is within an easy drive. Nigel and Sue provide wonderful maps and suggestions about great day trips to all the Istrian must-see locations, and they are also happy to help you make reservations at one of the many local eateries. I've spent a lot of time in various vacation homes and B&Bs in many areas of the world, and this is one of the best I've experienced. I highly recommend a stay at Kod Tereza!
