This brand new villa is superbly furnished and offers its guests a very comfortable stay. Situated close to Marim Golf Course, the peace and tranquillity is not only perfect for golf players but also offers a relaxing family holiday in an idyllic environment. The close by beaches of Praia Verde and Monte Gordo inviting for sun bathing as well as for long walks or other activities from kite surfing classes to boat rides. The close by salt flats accommodate a wide spread of wild life to observe. But you might prefer to relax at home with a glass of chilled white wine next to the pool. The villa offers a covered terrace space of 35 sq m with BBQ area. The interior of the house is spacious and has modern facilities for ease and comfort. The kitchen is of high standard and very well equipped for a self catering holiday. There are options to dine inside or outside by the pool.

Castro Marim is an unspoilt location with a typical Eastern Algarve charm. The narrow streets are filled with character and have a choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. The key feature of this town is the Castle which is open to the public and worth a visit to sample the splendid views over the river Guardiana and the Spanish border town of Ayamonte. Once a year end of August/beginning of September the Castle becomes alive with the Festival Medieval. Here you can experience how life was 4 centuries ago regarding handicraft, food and life in general. Original costumes, markets and food stalls giving you the right impression. Below the Castle at the main square you can as well enjoy Portuguese life style all year round when generations gathering together, so typical for the Southern European way of life. It would be also worthwhile to take a ferry boat across the river Guardiana to visit the Spanish border town Ayamonte or take a drive over the impressive bridge.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates are for 1 to 6 people. Please note, the stay of more than 6 person can lead to immediate vacation of Villa.

    Winter rates periode 1st of November - 18th of December and 3rd of January - 31st of March are for 2 people. Each further person needs to pay an extra 50 Euros/week for expenses.

    Shorter breaks cannot be arranged, but in case you are staying e.g. 8 days, a daily rate gets added to the weekly rental price.
    Children's cots are available at 20 € per week for the first week and 12,50 € for any subsequent week.

    A breakage deposit of 200 € will be collected on arrival or may be paid prior arrival. The deposit will be refunded on departure assuming no damages beyond normal wear and tear.

    Linen and towels are included, a weekly linen change provided.
  • A 50% deposit must be paid on reservation; the balance is due not later than 8 weeks prior to arrival. Payment in Euro is preferred. If you pay in another currency, we will charge you for any bank fee, which might occur.
    If you cancel more than 8 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit will be refundable only if we can rent the house again for the same period. Returned deposits will have a 50 € processing fee deducted.
  • The villa is very suitable for long lets during winter season, please ask for special rates, which would be based on monthly rent payments plus expenses after meter reading and following consumption.

Notes: After request daily maid service, babysitter, chef can be provided. Smokers are kindly requested not to smoke inside the house but due to the normal lovely weather there is no problem by using one of the various terraces. The kitchen of the house is very modern with an ample in the middle. The Villa is very suitable for various parties as it provides a self contained studio within the house. 34 sq m of covered terrace amongst the pool providing BBQ, dining for 6 people, outside sink and kitchen facility as well as a separate outside shower.

LOCAL BEACHES: For beach lovers there are a number of beautiful white sandy beaches within easy reach by car. Only a few to mention . . . Monte Gordo, Praia Verde, Cabeco and Altura all have car parking facilities, restaurants and sun beds for hire. White and expansive, the beaches are wonderful for long walks and are not overly crowded. Even in July/August you find your own spot by just walking 5 minutes away from the main beach. The water of the Atlantic ocean is clear but refreshing and safe for swimming and for children.

OTHER PLACES TO VISIT: Being situated near the border, the obvious place to visit is Spain! The beautiful border town of Ayamonte is a mere 5kms away and has an abundance of shops and Tapas bars to sample traditional Spanish fayre. The city of Seville is also highly recommended being around 2 hours away by car. If travelling towards the West about 15 km, the wonderfully tranquil town of Tavira is worth visiting where you can enjoy the peaceful ambiance along the river and visit one of the numerous bars and restaurants that the town offers. As well it would be worthwhile to visit the new Tavira Shopping Center opening in 2009, which will be the biggest at the Eastern Algarve. For those seeking a little more action, passed Faro you will find water parks and wild life parks, like the 'Zoo Marin', where you even can make an appointment for swimming with delphins.

GOLF: This is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. In addition to Castro Marim, within a 20km radius there are 6 other courses to choose from. Benamor and the 2 Quintas (Ria and Cima) are the most popular and can be reached within several minutes. The prestigious new course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus now has its first 18 holes open and is continuing in its development to the second phase offering the height of golfing luxury - although a costly experience, this is a real treat for golfing fanatics wishing to experience a little high life! Just across the Spanish border are the Costa Esuri and Quinta do Vale courses now growing in popularity.
