Inland there is an alternative Spain as beautiful as the coast but maybe a little more relaxing. This is the part of Spain that many people refer to as 'the real Spain', they may be right, certainly this is Spain as it used to be, the original Spain if you like. Here you find country properties nestled between the many lemon & orange groves or vineyards and almond trees that can be found inland from the Costa Blanca. This is also a mountainous area with some peaks reaching 1200mts above sea level, maybe not so high, but high enough to notice a difference in the air. The country villages still have a relaxed atmosphere and the architecture hasn't changed so much in the last 100 years, neither the local customs. You will find spacious and comfortable accommodation over two levels. The dining/sitting room is spacious, with a wood burning fire, TV and 5mtr high ceilings. The kitchen is fully equipped including microwave oven and a dishwasher. A large reception hall with 5m high ceilings and the center hall has the original large 2m2 open fireplace and beamed ceilings. Still on the ground floor there is a large 40m2 family bedroom that can sleep four comfortable and has an en-suite shower room. There is a main spacious fully fitted bathroom with bath, hydromasaje shower, also a separate w.c and finally a fully fitted laundry. Upstairs there are 2 more bedrooms, one double and the other with two single beds. Both rooms lead from a sitting room with gallery and all three rooms have good views to the mountain and valley. ( N.B. There is a part of the ground floor of the house that is not included in the above description, and is closed for private use but will not be occupied during your stay).

There are several golf courses within a 30 minute drive of Hondon. They can be found in the areas of Alicante, Elche, and the Orihuela costa
