Just 15 minutes drive from the magnificent Silver Coast beaches, the villa is located in a quiet hill top village. New heated indoor pool was built in Spring 2013 with separate terrace. The main house is extremely spacious with glorious views towards the sea and has been completely modernised, it is luxurious yet totally comfortable. Free Unlimited WiFi reception. The large open-plan kitchen adjoins a huge family room with newly installed cable TV in English, German, French, Portuguese and other European language. This room leads directly onto the southwest-facing terrace and is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. There are large gardens, large sun terraces and an indoor barbecue room.
The beaches at Sao Martinho, Salir do Porto and Foz d'Arelho have excellent facilities for families. Peniche is absolutely perfect for surfers. There are several historic sites of interest in the area.
Excellent local restaurants, the nearest 5 minutes drive away. Many large supermarkets are situated in the nearby town of Caldas da Rainha.

Beautiful villa with great views and super pool

This is a very spacious airy villa with a lovely garden and super views over the bay which is a couple of miles away. The new indoor pool was a great bonus which we enjoyed. The house is very well equipped with lots of space which should please adult groups as well as families. The resorts and local towns were within a short drive so we didn't have to spend long in the car to get to anywhere. We made a day trip to Lisbon which we did on the bus as parking is apparently bad. Overall, a great villa in a super location

I never want to leave!

I have stayed at this wonderful property several times and can highly recommend it. It is modern, spacious and well fitted out. To sit on the terrace with a glass or two of wine and watch the sun set over the Atlantic is bliss! The very extensive garden has many flowering shrubs and fruit trees. If you are lucky there will be lemons for a gin and tonic! A car is essential but there are so many interesting and historical places in this very scenic area to visit. My favourite is the medieval walled city of Obidos. A walk on the walls gives great views over the countryside and the houses and streets are so photogenic. Children of all ages are catered for. The enclosed bay at St Martinho has a very safe beach (great for sandcastles). Round the bay near Foz d'Arelho is a nature reserve and a huge sand dune which has to be climbed! On the main Atlantic coast there are plenty of places to surf. Good fish restaurants are everywhere, especially on the quay in St Martinhu. This is a great place to stay for two people or up to twelve. I never want to leave - what more can I say?

A Rare Experience

Don't be fooled by the modest aspect of this property from the end of the short country lane. As soon as you enter the gate, you begin to realise that this is something special. First to hit you is the unexpected view West to the sea, from almost 400ft up. Then, the beginnings of the long contour hugging, beautifully sculpted garden, which held a magical secret. The house turns out to be huge and modern and could not possibly disappoint. A car is definitely required. There are no restaurants or shops within walking distance and the nearest coast is a 20min drive. Oh, the secret in the garden! At night, the fireflies in June turned it into a sparkling Christmas grotto. Quite magical.

Estancia grande y acogedora

La ubicación de la casa es perfecta para moverte por varias ciudades de Portugal. Lisbo a 1hora y media, Nazaré a media hora, Óbidos a media hora, Oporto q 2 horas, Coímbra a una hora y poco..... La casa en sí está bien, es muy grande aunque le haría falta un lavado de cara. Lo que no nos ha cuadrado con la descripción es que ponía que había una habitación con sofá cama apto para dormir dos personas y ni una pudo dormir allí. El colchón erq finísimo y los muelles se clavaban. De la anfitriona nada malo que decir. Buena comunicación con ella y nos obsequió con un montón de detalles de comida y bebida en la casa. En general, la experiencia fue buena
