This is my home. I hardly ever use the lower portion so I have had it professionally converted. It is a wonderful place to stay if you like quiet, a valley view and quick access to San Francisco.

Marvelous Experience

We had a wonderful month recently at this property.
The description and photos were very accurate.
The property is in a lovely residential area with excellent views of the mountains. There is an excellent, private patio with a beautiful stone fireplace surrounded by mature green landscaping.
We were able to walk or bike into the cute village of Lafayette with many shops and restaurants.
Don, the owner, is very pleasant and extremely accommodating.
We will definitely be returning to this property.

We stayed here while visiting our family in Orinda. The location was convenient for us, and we agree with the positive comments in previous reviews. We appreciated that Don met us when we arrived and took time to show us around the apartment. We liked having him nearby (he lives upstairs), knowing that he was responsive to any needs we had, while we felt we had total privacy. We also liked the motion sensor lights that light up the walkway to the door from the guest parking space at night, which is an example of the attention to detail at this apartment.

visiting grandkiddies

The place was very neat & clean. We made smores with fire place with grandkids and walked several times to Layfette Reservoir (5 miles). Very convenient location for us. Said once that toaster was a bit funky and a replacement was purchased.

Very Comfortable Getaway

This well-designed apartment is lovely, comfortable, and fully equipped with an attractive kitchen and full-size appliances. There is complete privacy, and every accoutrement has been provided! We enjoyed our winter stay, and a swimming pool and outdoor sitting area and barbeque area are located adjacent to the apartment for summertime use. The unit is located in a lovely neighborhood and handy to public transportation (BART). Parking is available, and the location is just a few miles from downtown Lafayette.

Home Away From Home

We loved our stay at Rahara Rental. Don is a fantastic host. He responded quickly even though he was on vacation at the time of our request. That was greatly appreciated. Everything was as described, very clean and well maintained. We have already recommened it to friends. We will rent it again when we are in the area. We loved Lafayette Park and it is so close. The area is beautiful. We are looking forward to more time there. Thanks Don for making this property available.
