This well appointed non-smoking self-catering apartment, refurbished and refurnished, is in the 3rd district just a 5 minute ride away from Schwedenplatz on tram '1', into the heart of Vienna, and 10 minutes from the Wien Messe Exhibition and Conference Centres. Good facilities and connections, with supermarkets, shops, restaurants and a tram stop at the end of Hetzgasse. The accommodation consists of 1 spacious bedroom with a double bed and plenty of storage space, then there’s a well-equipped kitchen / dining area with seating for 4, and finally a living area with two big sofas, one of which converts to a double bed, plus a desk with an office chair if you need to work. The living area has Cable TV, DVD player, CD Player and free wireless internet access. The kitchen has everything necessary : hob, cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, kettle and coffee machine. Vienna is the capital of Austria with a population of about 1.7 million and is by far the largest city in Austria as well as being its cultural, economic, and political centre. Vienna hosts many major international organizations such as the United Nations and OPEC. The city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Vienna is frequently ranked first in quality of life surveys. The apartment is very near the famous Hunderwasserhaus, and within walking distance of the Prater. It's on the ground floor in a quiet location with all windows facing the private inner courtyard. The City Airport Train runs from Vienna Airport to Wien-Mitte Station - 5 minutes on foot from our apartment. The CAT staff can also provide you with a taxi from the station to our door.

There are no steps or stairs in the apartment, but please be aware that the apartment is not specifically child-proofed. A dedicated parking place is available under our building for 12 Euros/day, 75 Euros/week. Not suitable for SUVs or 4x4s. Maximum vehicle dimensions L:5m x W:1.9m x H:1.5m. You need to use the lift or stairs to move between the underground parking and our apartment.

Travel Information: If you are flying to Vienna, we recommend the City Airport Train (CAT), every half an hour from Vienna airport to Wien-Mitte Station. Wien-Mitte is 5 minutes walk away from our apartment. If you don't want to walk, the CAT can provide you with taxi direct to our door. Tram '1' stops at the end of Hetzgasse, 5 minutes ride from Schwedenplatz in Central Vienna. Travel Cards for public transport are available and are good value. More details on our website.

Parking Information: Parking in Vienna can be difficult and is expensive. On-street parking vouchers ('Parkscheine') are available from News Agents ('Trafiken'), Petrol Stations and some Train Ticket Booking Offices. You can park free for up to 10 minutes if you display a free purple parking voucher. Always display a voucher when you park! If you need to park in a short-term parking area for more than 2 hours, we recommend that you use the closest parking garage, as the on-street zones are very actively patrolled. You can also park in public garages ('Tiefgarage'). Local prices start at around 2 Euros/hour, 12 Euros/day, 105 Euros/week. See our website for more details.

Staying in Vienna

The apartment is very well equipped, there is even a hair dryer and a boot polish. Best of all I liked the perfect bathroom. It’s big and convenient, and makes you possible to take a pleasant bath after a long day of walking. You can hardly get such pleasure in Paris hotels/apartments, for example :), where baths are extremely small. The only thing you should to take with you, - house slippers/pabouches as the floor is probably not very warm in winter. Very good location, just a few minutes from CAT train and metro stations. And it’s also in around 15 minutes from the well-known restaurant Plahuta and city centre. At the same time apartment is quiet, convenient for evening rest. The other perfect thing I must to note – owner hospitality and perfect customer service provided. I had the late arrival and departure (almost at midnight). Nevertheless, I was kindly welcomed and allowed the late checking out without any extra charge. Also I was helped to call a taxi to airport. So many thanks once again, and I really enjoyed my staying at your apartment in Vienna.

My wife, two children and I spent a wonderful week in this apartment in August. Its location is perfect (really is a 5 minute walk from Wien Mitte - where the CAT runs from) and you can either walk to the city centre or catch a tram (we thought tram 1 was best - you take a right out of apartment and walk two blocks to get to the stop). Wien Mitte also has access to metro U3 and U4 so everything is easy to get to. This was our first time in Vienna and we really enjoyed it. Historical buildings, museums, shops, beach on the old Danube and Prater Park (which is walking distance from the apartment) meant there was something for everyone to enjoy. The apartment was clean. I would suggest the sofa bed is suitable for children or light weight adults as the mattress was a bit thin - but with all the walking and the fine restaurants I don't think you'll have too much trouble sleeping. If I went back to Vienna I’d not have second thoughts about staying in this apartment.

Great Apartment, lots of space, washing machine came in handy, close to trains and trams to get anywhere in Vienna you wish to go. We had a fantastic stay here and would stay here again if we return to Vienna.

the property was spotlessly clean ( altho the entrance to the building wasn't)..and the apartment well furnished and comfortable.....( except there wasn't a current converter..so you can't use your cell phone charger or electric shaver).........the location was good and safe, with close access to everything........ we'd stay there again......

Lovely Flat in Great Location

We had a great stay in the flat during January. The facilities are excellent, everything is in great condition and the apartment is a great size. The flat is located a short walk across the river to the historic centre of Vienna. The extra touches like guide books and tourist information inside the apartment are much appreciated. Highly recommended!
