FEEL AT HOME IN THE HEART OF THE SANTA BARBARA WINE COUNTRY

My family and I stayed here over a long weekend for my brother's wedding. I have two preschool age children and the house was perfect. The home was clean, quiet, private and there was plenty of space for all five of us. We could of easily slept eight. The open floor plan for the living area was great and was comfortable when other family members stopped by to visit. There is also a hall door separating the bedrooms from the living space which helped keep the noise down when the kids were napping and for their pesky early bedtime. The kitchen was large and open and had all the necessary appliances and dishes to make it feel like home. The back yard has an enormous deck overlooking a large grass yard and basketball court. There are two bunnies living in a large enclosure at the back of the property that my kids had a great time tending to, not that you need to, and the adjacent property has goats so those were fun to watch too. (yes, we are city folk, so we were excited about farm animals). The owner, Debra, was great. She and VBRO made everything about planning our trip easy. She answered our questions prior to our stay and was assessable by phone if we needed her during our stay. If my family and I visit in the future, I would definitely stay here again. It was a convenient location in Santa Ynez Valley area. It was a short distance to all the small towns nearby, wineries and the various festivities we had planned for the weekend. A couple of places I would recommend for kids include the Seeing Spot Farm, which has a darling petting zoo and friendly owner and the Sunny Fields Park, which is a playground designed to look like a castle. For fresh veggies, stop by the Finley Farm vegetable stand about a mile north along Refugio Road . There was a nice selection of organic produce and you pay on the honor system.
