Our Favorite Vacation Cottage!

We have been vacationing at this lovely cottage for the last 24 years. It’s a charming place and it offers so much. It is on a very private large lot with woods, gardens, tree covered shaded areas and a picturesque pond and a dock perfect for a canoe, paddle boat or kayak. Large back porch sitting area with all glass and screens view of the pond.
The pond is a kettle pond with excellent fishing. We have caught largemouth bass every year we have been there – also caught pickerel from time to time. Lots of turtles, occasional muskrat and two years ago we did see a river otter there!
The bird life on the pond is great as well. Some of the birds we have seen there regularly are Osprey which perch regularly in the high trees, Green Herons which often have a nest in low trees just off the pond, Night Herons, Kingfishers, and many song birds.
The cottage itself is in very good condition, very relaxing place to be – sunsets over the pond. Also easy walks to the town beaches, the town dock and the general store. We also love walking or driving over to the local ball field to watch the cape cod league Cotuit Kettleers play ball!! The town is quaint, quiet and a real oasis on the Cape.
