Private holiday home set in a romantic historical courtyard ,going all the way back to the Plantagenet's.

There are two terraces ,so you will always have sunshine or shade. There is a private garden with parking area at the back of house which is totally enclosed, so safe for small children. At the front of the house is a communal courtyard, but our house also has its own private terrace which is lovely to enjoy a glass of wine on in the evening or breakfast in the morning.'

The house is tastefully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen.

Cycle paths and forests actually start just outside the courtyard. The wonderful Atlantic beaches of Le Grand Plage are only four kilometres away. The beaches at Vert Bois also very child friendly only two kilometers away.Supermarkets and local produce markets are in Le Chateau and Dolus.

The house has 4 bedrooms ....two dubbel beds, one bunk bed, and two single beds......

The house is situated in a secluded courtyard about three kilometres from Le Château and four kilometres from Dolus where there is a large hypermarket. In Le Château there is a wonderful daily market with fresh produce from the area and some lovely restaurants and shops.

The house is set in the courtyard of a former vineyard. A family home, not just a holiday house....stylishly furnished, and comfortable with good beds and furniture.

Also fully equipped for small children....babies with a cot,highchair and playpen.

A safe garden with a gate, and an own parking place.

We are an anglo-dutch couple......who love the island of oleron.

we rent the house out for a few weeks a year.....as the home is a real second home not a standard holiday house. we enjoy comfort

Peaceful....in the middle of nature, forest, winery but also close to fantastic beaches. We feel incredibaly lucky everytime we are here!

Well equipped kitchen..... food lovers island...... house is also suitable for two small families.....with two seperate sleeeping areas and two bathrooms...safe garden'.

We had a excellent stay on the Ille d'Oleron. The charming house is very centrale located on the island, close to several beaches en harbortowns. The house was very nice and suitable for childeren. The inclosed private garden was great for summerevening dining, summerafternoon playing for the childeren and summermorning breakfast... We would love to come back soon!

Great for sea, seafood, cycling and art lovers!

Well equiped house with stylish interior. Quiet surroundings even in the holiday season. We were out of season but there was enough to do and to see for a week. We used the bikes, visited the markets, cooked ourselves a lot of seafood, ate outdoors very well too and enjoyed ourselves by touring across the island and visiting the ports with there shops and artists.

Holiday Heaven

This is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. We were there for two weeks in May. The house is set in a grassy courtyard with trees and a pond (home to an entertaining frog chorus). The charming house is tastefully and comfortably furnished, with added seaside touches. The kitchen is lovingly equipped, and we appreciated the little extras: even herbs, onions and garlic. All the equipment worked perfectly.
The courtyard terrace is lovely for early sun and the secluded garden with second terrace and outdoor furniture perfect for breakfast and dinner as well as relaxing (sleeping) with a book and a drink in a comfortable chair or the swing. We were happy to spend days there without wanting to go further afield.
Le Chateau is the nearby village with a citadel, shops, a lively, large, Sunday market, and an excellent choice of restaurants. There are reasonable places for lunch all over the Island.
The nearby main road makes exploring the Island from end to end very easy, but try the coastal roads as well. Grand Plage and Vert Bois are excellent beaches and were never crowded while we were there. There are activities to be enjoyed by the energetic throughout the island but we did not sample them.
We left the island only once during our stay and were glad to get ‘home’.
It was the most relaxing holiday we’ve ever spent.

what a relief

We have stayed in this house for holidays a week in last August. We have been here with two couples and in total three kids and it was perfect.

This is a well equiped house that has brought a real relaxation! The two gardens a perfect playground for the kids, for bbq-ing twice a day and for a daily sleep..

The place is close to Le Chateau and the best beaches on the island. We can definitely recommend this place!

Located in old former vineyard , going all the way back to the plantagenets, our house is only 3 kilometers from the shops and supermarkets (with a daily covered market ) ,and the lovely restaurants in the port of Le Chateau dÓleron .The house has access to many cycle paths, and is also close to the forests. The wonderful wide beach of Le Grand Plage is only 4 kilometers away. (excellent for surfing).

the house has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms one with a bath and shower one with just a shower. There is a separate annezx joined to the house with the two bedrooms and shower room...

Golf: Golf course ten minutes drive at Dolus d´Oleron.

Ski: only water and jet skiing
