This was the first time we stayed at this house but hopefully won't be the last! The location is near anything you want to do from hiking to jogging trails, kayak/canoe rentals, shopping in Bolton landing, Jumping spider Rock and any boating activity you can think of and we did it all. The view was spectacular - all meals can be eaten outside in the sun or shade depending on your desire and the weather.
Swimming off the dock was enjoyed by all and the water was crystal clear most of the time except when it stormed. We had a couple of stormy days but it didn't last all day so we were able to get in activities every day. The kids could snorkel around the dock and there's a great sand area you can walk into from the dock if you don't want to jump off the dock.
We had a family of 5 and we had plenty of room in the house. The house was very nice and kept very clean. The owners were very nice to work with and helpful with all of our questions. The outdoor fire pit was great for evening smores and just relaxing by the waters edge. Everything that you need is there. We really had a great time and can't wait to get back!
This is our "Happy Place". This our second year renting this spot and the gorgeous pictures don't even do it justice. The morning sunrises and having breakfast on the upper deck make you feel so relaxed. The quiet and calm of the lake in the morning feels as though it is your private lake.
Our kids wake up and head to the dock to throw in a line to catch the morning bass it is either large mouth or small mouth and never a loudmouth. From there the choice is to swim or float on the beautiful crystal clear water of Lake George.
The home has a spacious living space with spectacular views of the Lake. The home is clean and organized. Washer and dryer is an added pleasure to dry some towels. The owners are nice and very informative. You can tell they love their spot and take pride on the grounds.
After boating all day the smell of barbecues abound; the lake is one of those wonderful summer smells my husband loves. The outdoor living space exceeds all expectations! As dinner awaits there is more fishing to do or taking in the gorgeous sunset as it goes down right behind the mountains. The fire pit on the stone deck on the water is a perfect ending to a great day. Whether it be the moon lighting up the lake or the stars brightening the skies we have found our "Happy Place"!
If the weather does not cooperate for part of the day you can always venture to Bolton for lunch and shopping it is a fun exploration with hiking trails all along the way. If you like hiking options are endless at Lake George.
Long days on the Lake the Fire House is a great place to get some nibbles right down the street on cute center of Hague.
Looking forward to creating many more great memories on North Lake Shore Drive!
