There are places full of history and poetry…
This impressive ancient palace of the 17th century, also known as Palazzo del Duca, set on the historic main borgo of Tavernelle, in the unspoilt area of Lunigiana, North Tuscany, was a summer residence of Podestà and Este Family (Duke of Parma).
The palazzo has been recently restored preserving original features, like spacious living areas and terracotta floors, local blustone portals and doors, stunning vaults and a wonderful ancient stone staircase and even in a bedroom there is a fireplace, a 'must' for all the ancient Lords of the 1700.
The palazzo consists of 5 apartments finely renewed and nicely furnished with some pieces of antiques. It also has a large internal fenced, safe garden and a brand new in ground swimming pool.
Ideal location for weddings, family meetings, painting and photography workshop and special events.
Painting And Sculpturing Workshops with international artists and wine courses for every level.
Tuscany is everybody's favourite travel destination, and the Lunigiana is the part of Tuscany that's undiscovered.
Lunigiana is the part of Tuscany that links up with the Gulf of Poets and Liguria to the west and Emilia-Romagna, gastronomic heart of Italy, to the north. Whilst it is dominated by the Apuan Alps (from which Michelangelo insisted that his marble had to come) and the Appennines (made famous by Eric Newby in his book 'Love and War in the Appennines'), it has beautiful sandy beaches on its coast at places such as Marinella and Marina di Massa. It truly does have mountains, rock pools, sun and sea. Lunigiana is a small homogeneous region that offers a mild climate and a sweet atmosphere, perfect for resting and holidays. The millenial story of its history are visible, from the mysterious “statue stele” to the Roman ruins, from old churches and medieval castles to the baroque palaces.
