For that 'get away from it all' feeling, the south facing garden backs onto the River Molina with wooded hills behind providing a perfect tranquil setting for dinner and a glass of wine 'al fresco'. The living accommodation on a single level with a lower level laundry room. The villa offers superb family or group accommodation for 6 people. The lounge is comfortably furnished with two large sofas, a TV with DVD player and UK satellite TV and a stereo system. The dining room opens onto the rear terrace and a covered side terrace. The dining room has a large table and 8 chairs for those rare evenings when you might have to eat inside. The kitchen is fully fitted including a dishwasher and large fridge freezer. Externally the upper paved terrace has a table and seating for 6 people and a built-in barbeque. A set of steps leads down to the pool area surrounded by lawns and a landscaped rockery. Six sunloungers are provided as well as a selection of garden chairs- all to enable you to relax

Situated on the outskirts of Calonge and within the Gavarres hills, the villa is close to the beaches at St Antoni, Platja D'Aro and Palamos. There are many secluded coves with beautiful beaches at Calella, Tamariu and Llafranc which are well worth a visit. The countryside is ideal for walking and cycling and there are numerous golf courses within the area some of which are championship standard. The lively town of Platja D'Aro is less than 10km away with a vibrant night life, numerous clubs, bars and restaurants. The 'Aquadiver' water park is 5km from the villa. For those who want a quieter time, the fishing town of Palamos is 5km away and has a host of shops, bars and restaurants which cater for all tastes. The medieval town of Calonge is within walking distance from the villa. Figueres, home of the Dali museum, is an hours drive towards the north and Barcelona is 100km to the south.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment can be made in sterling cheque, Euro or bank transfer.
    Price is for the villa per week and is based on a maximum occupancy of 6 people.
    The minimum stay is one week.
    Price includes for one set of bed linen and towels provided on arrival and whether a one week or two week stay.
    A 15% non-refundable deposit is required to secure bookings.
    The final balance will be required 4 weeks before arrival date.
    A refundable damage deposit of £200 is payable with the final balance, this being returned within 14 days of departure date less any damage of breakages.
    Keys will be collected and returned to our Managing Agents in St Antoni de Calonge (5 minutes drive from villa).

Great Villa in fantastic location

We visited for a week in September 2009 and had a fantastic time.

Wonderful garden, beautiful rockery and full of birds with a particularly friendly robin! Private and peaceful location opposite forest of pines and cork oaks. Great footpath on other side of river valley, used by dog walkers, mountain bikers and occasional herd of goats. There are red squirrels in the pine trees if you’re quiet and lots of butterflies.

Good swimming pool long enough to do a few lengths or just float on a lilo, hardly overlooked at all by other villas.

Great barbecue set-up with everything you need, we used it every night.

Suma supermarket has all you need although not best value for wine, can get better value Cava in the Intermarche (St Antoni or Palamos) or the Spar (can’t remember the Spanish name) on the road to La Bisbal leading out of Calonge.

This is a really wonderful area with lots to do and see, fantastic local markets, great beaches and wonderful wildlife.

Very helpful owners, provide lots of useful information and booking was simple with deposit returned within 48 hours.

we stayed at the villa in late may 2009. it is at a great location, about 25mins. from Girona airport and 3kms in from Mediterranean beach. it is situated close to the town of Colonge which has two good supermarkets and many fine restaurants. a car is a must.
The villa itself is very spacious with a very comfortable living/dining area ,a compact kitchen with all mod cons, bathroom, three bedrooms one with un-suite and all maintained to a very high standard.
the pool area is private and surrounded by a very neat garden.A great place to get away from the Hustle and Bustle of life.
Overall we would have no problem recommending this property to one and all and we will return here in the future.

Perfect Family villa

We stayed at the villa for a week late August 2009. The villa has all the facilities a family would require. We were a party of 5; 2 adults, 1 senior and 2 children aged 16 and 9 and the whole family enjoyed the stay. The bedrooms are fresh and spacious, the kitchen well equiped and the pool is a good size and very secluded. We did not hire a car however, there is an excellent local taxi service, the owner of which made the holiday experience even more enjoyable with his descriptions of the area and friendly, prompt service. There is a local restaurant 5 minutes walk from the villa, the Suma supermarket is 10 minutes drive (10 euros in a taxi) and Platja D’Aro and Palamos are located approx 15 minutes drive (20 euros in a taxi); Platja D'Aro has very good shops. Also, the owners of the villa were extremely helpful prior to our stay, providing detailed documentation of the villa itself and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone interested in staying in a beautiful area of Spain.

Great villa for a great holiday

We have now stayed at this fantastic villa on four separate occasions since the summer of 2006. It is a great place for relaxing as a family but also perfect for a crew of friends to recline by the pool and enjoy a few early evening cervezas on the lovely porch, looking out at the Catalan sun set and at the goats meandering home across the lush green hills.

The villa is located in close proximity of a number of excellent beaches and is also an ideal base for cultural excursions - Iberic ruins, medieval market towns and the 'Salvador Dali trail' further North up the coast. The close proximity to the town of Calonge makes food shopping etc..pretty easy and there are a number of options in terms of night life - from excellent local restaurants, to quiet walks along the nearest beach (St Antoni Di Calonge - literally 5 mins drive away) or the vibrant resort of Platja D'Aro (about 10-15 mins drive) for those who want to mix with the throng and perhaps indulge in some late night shopping activities.

In summary, this Villa is a perfect setting for for a great holiday. The other bonus is that we have found the owners to be extremely friendly and so helpful that it almost feels that we are family now.
