With spectacular views over the Caribbean/Atlantic oceans giving Tranquility its name, the villa enjoys the cooling breezes of the trade-winds. This not only makes it comfortable throughout the year but that rare location a mosquito free zone. Accessed by driving through the championship golf course, Tranquility’s guests have villa membership of the St Lucia Golf Club. The main tourist area of Rodney Bay with supermarkets, shopping mall, marina and restaurants is only 10 min by car. Several beaches and a national trust park are located nearby together with a wide variety of sporting activities. Situated in landscaped, tropical gardens cut from the natural St Lucian environment, the villa has 5500sq ft of living space spread over three levels, each taking full advantage of the stunning, uninterrupted sea views.

The lower level pool deck has ample space for sun loungers in both sun and shade where guests can relax with a drink at the bar or on the in-pool seats. For the more energetic the 45 ft lap lane and the gym with rowing machine provide the opportunity to get the heart rate up. All main rooms are large, airy and finished to a high standard. Italian tiles throughout, kitchen units, closets and furniture handmade by the islands best carpenter and appliances, furnishings and furniture imported from Europe combine to give a feel of quality hard to find in the Caribbean. The spacious lounge with ceiling fans, over sized sofas, TV and DVD player with DVD library, electric piano and wireless broadband internet opens onto a deep terrace that runs the length of the villa and provides full-sun and shade areas at all times of day. The kitchen with ceiling fan is fully equipped and there are a variety of formal and informal dining areas; the lounge, terraces and pool deck.

Notes: The kitchen is fully equipped. The cooker is a luxury range stove with 2 ovens (1 gas, 1 electric) and 5 burners including wok-ring. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine. Maid service is included, a cook can be provided on request. Children over the age of 12 years only. This is the owners main home and has therefore been furnished and equipped to a higher standard than that usually found in rental properties.

Golf: Villa Tranquillity has membership of the prestigious Saint Lucia Golf and Country Club which is 2 minutes drive away. This provides two guests with two free rounds of golf each per week ( cart hire of $30 each applies for all members ) subsequent rounds are at the greatly discounted green fee rate of $60 per person plus cart (normal rates would be $145). Golf clubs and shoes are available for hire. This outstanding 6771 yard par-71 course is set amongst the scenic rolling hills of Cap Estate and overlooks both the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. The course opened in 2001 and has since become one of the most demanding layouts in the Caribbean; the par-5 opening hole gets players' attention right away with a fairway guarded on the right by trees and on the left by bunkers. There is also a practice putting green and 350 yard driving range. An impressive new US style clubhouse with pro-shop, bars, lounges including TV lounge, grill and restaurant was completed in April 2008 and where players can relax on a large terrace overlooking challenging par 3 18th.

A beautiful villa and view in a fantastic location

I'm sitting out on the Villa Tranquility terrace wondering what I should write in this guest review, but finding myself a little stuck for words. Then it comes to me that this is the real magic of this place; space and time to think and reflect in a way that is not often possible in our busy lives - and there is something calming and restorative about the beautiful view from here of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean.

We've thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay. Our adventures have included a day on the 'Brig Unicorn' ship with the 'pirates', a visit to the 'drive-in' volcano and botanical gardens at Soufriere, and a ride on the 'Sky-Ride' through the rain forest. We've discovered the delightful 'Smugglers' Cove' beach, which we had completely to ourselves on two occasions. Trim's Riding Stables for a swim with the horses on Cas-en-Bas beach was a thrill too.

Villa Tranquility has been a true home-from-home. The living areas are expansive and beautifully furnished - this terrace is my favourite - and the owners have thought of everything from the sweet potato ricer in the kitchen to the laundry baskets in the bedrooms. Thank you for creating such a beautiful, warm and welcoming place to stay.

The accomodation made the holiday

This was my first visit to St Lucia and the vill Tranquility was recommended to me by a friend. I must say that the presentation video does not do the villa the justice it deserves. Exellent customer servicewas provided from the word go. Rodney Bay was a short car ride away.
The view from the balcony was fantastic, with all the amenites you would expect and even more. The villa itself is very spacious and could sleep more than six people. It was immaculately clean. The kitchen area was spacious supplying more than adequate facilities. It wanted for nothing.
It was nice after spending a day out to return to the peace and quiet of the villa. A luxury property. Dennis
