Transport: We are 15 minutes by car up a dirt road from the nearest village(Periana), walking will take about one hour. Car hire is highly recommended, but arrangements can be made for airport pick-up and drop-off. I would also be willing to take you out shopping once a week (no charge), to our local supermarkets, if you decide not to hire a car. Only two buses a day from Periana to Velez- Malaga / Torre Del Mar (beach) /Malaga.
Walking: Ideal area for walks or pleasant strolls. Directly from the house you can get to small village of Guaro, or an ambitious walk to Ventas de Zafaraya. There is a small mountain behind us, which is great fun to climb and search out the numerous caves. This area is mainly open countryside, so walking possibilities are almost endless. There is always a new path or area to discover.
Golfing-Skiing: There is a golf course near Torre Del Mar. Sierra Nevada ski slopes are about 1 hour 45 minutes away.
