Coast House is a modern centrally heated detached waterfront property, comfortably accommodates 8 people with a detached garage and excellent off road parking. It is carpeted throughout apart from the kitchen. The arrangement is an 'upside' down house with most of the sleeping accommodation on the ground floor and living on the first floor. 4 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite), dining, lounge, cloakroom, kitchen, large balcony. Free WiFi The secure rear courtyard garden provides a great place for early morning sunshine. Table and chairs plus a gas BBQ are provided. Red squirrels are sometimes seen in the trees behind. Fabulous house and location. Rooms & balcony overlooking the Solent. Watch the sailing action or cruise liners leaving Southampton. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the lounge or balcony. 20 minute walk along the esplanade or a 5 minute drive to charming Cowes town. 30 min drive to the rest of the island. Great home from home for families or couples.

These include historic sites such as English Heritage Osborne House & Carisbrooke Castle. Walking in the countryside/ National Trust Tennyson Down, The Needles & Bird watching from Newtown Creek . Children love Robin Hill Park,The Dinosaur museum and surfing at Compton Beach. Coastal towns to visit Cowes,Ryde,Bembridge,Ventnor or just attending one of the Island's festivals Cowes Week, Old Gaffers at Yarmouth, IOW Festival & Bestival. Gurnard Village has a well stocked grocery store, newsagents, The Portland Pub & a church. Gurnard Bay beach is a mixture of sand & shingle with rock pools to investigate at low tide.   • Please note that reservations will be held for one week. The Booking will only be confirmed on receipt of a Non-Refundable Deposit Cheque with completed and signed Booking Form and Conditions.
    A £150 Refundable Bond (for damages etc) is paid with the balance and is returned 1 week after your visit if no damages etc are incurred. All bookings made less than 35 days prior to the start of the holiday must be paid in full.

    Once a booking has been confirmed the Hirer becomes liable for the full advertised costs of the holiday and should make appropriate insurance arrangements to cover cancellation. If the owners are able to relet then the Deposit is forfeit but the hire charges for any period relet will be refunded.
    Cancellations must be notified in writing.
  • Weekend or short stays are welcomed. Prices and dates vary according to the season and number of people.

Fitted with a 5ft double bed, large mirrored built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, 2 bedside tables with lamps, chair, en suite bathroom with shower, basin, bidet , shaver point and wall mounted hairdryer. All other bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds, built in wardrobes, mirror, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps. The 4th bedroom is fitted with a set of 3ft bunk beds and a chest of drawers. Another hairdryer is supplied. Curtains and blinds are fitted at the windows. All are fully carpeted. Travel cot and bedding available. Highchair. Child safety gate fitted on the stairs. All beds are made up on arrival in egyptian cotton bedlinen. 1 white cotton bath, hand towel and face flannel per person. Bathmats provided. Please note Beach towels are not supplied.

The Coast House is a delightful place to spend a holiday.

It is very comfortably furnished, clean and well maintained.

Being right on the waterfront there is always something to look at out on the water or passing by. Its location is excellent and other island attractions are not too far away.

The owners add personal touches such as welcome flowers, bread and eggs.

Would certainly recommend the property to friends and hope to have a holiday there again in the future.

The Pub at the end of the street serves good meals and we also ate at The Taveners, Godshill which is highly recommended.

The Adnenture Playground over the road from the house will be great for children once it is completed - which it probably is by now.

The Coast House is really a home from home. Very clean and comfortable. The views from the house are fantastic, especially the sun sets! Lots to do and the children really enjoyed themselves.

Probably! This is my second stay in the Coast House - this year. A fabulous position on the sea front - the view from the living room window is continuously entertaining. The house is immaculate, comfortable, very well decorated and with amusing objects and art work. Works for people of all ages and abilities. Betty (94) didn't want to go home!
My favourite holiday rental house to date.
