Lost Creek Retreat - A spacious secluded home in the woods with access to Tims Ford Lake. A perfect romantic getaway or a great place to gather with friends and family. 20 mi from Shelbyville, Walking Horse Celebration. 3 miles from downtown Lynchburg where so much history is to be explored. Visiting Jack Daniels Distillery is a must. We also have George Dickle and Prichards Distillery close by. Bear Trace Golf Course is 8 miles away.

About Ginger Mashe

We love the seclusion being in the woods and on the lake. We enjoy the lake and kayaking the rivers in the summer. We ride our horses when it's too cold for the water. I've had this land for 30 years and have enjoyed the serenity of this area.

Private area with boat dock access on Tims Ford Lake. In addition to being a safe recreational boating lake, Tim's Ford is an outstanding, year-round fishing lake for stripers and smallmouth bass. Its reputation for trophy striper and smallmouth fishing extends several hundred miles. Major bass and striper tournaments are held on the lake annually. The lake is also ideally suited for the angler that just wants to relax and catch a few catfish or bluegills. Mallard ducks, Canadian geese, bald eagles, deer, wild turkey, and other kinds of wildlife can be seen while boating on this beautiful 10,000 acre lake. Take a day and visit Jack Daniel's Distillery and have lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's. Bear Trace Golf Course is only 7 miles away.

Relaxing weekend

We needed a quick getaway from Nashville and found Lost Creek Retreat by chance while searching on VRBO. We wanted something secluded, waterfront, and it had to have a hot tub. While it is a short distance to the water, there is a water view. Ginger was most accommodating and helpful. The vacation home is cozy, well cared for and comfortable, but most of all clean. On Saturday went into the tourist trap hell called Lynchburg, but quickly escaped from there. There's not much to do here except lake activities which is just fine with us. It was quiet and private. We really want to come back in the summer and enjoy the lake. It's a great place for a reasonable price.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway

Great Weekend

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived on Friday evening to start our weekend. This property is very well furnished and clean...it has really been taken care of. The owners met us on our arrival to make sure we were comfortable and explained lake access. They also offered use of their kayaks - very nice. We kayaked, enjoyed the hot tub, watched some movies and visited nearby Lynchburg and the Jack Daniels Distillery during our stay. Great weekend. We would come back to this property - We recommend it.

The house was exactly as advertised, and very comfortable. Everything you might need for your getaway is already there! I even stopped for coffee on the way in, but there was some already in the cabinet! Be sure to take the Jack Daniels Distillery tour and grab lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's. Thanks for a great weekend, we are sure to return again.

Searching for a vacation spot online can be a bit risky - one never knows for sure what they'll find when they arrive. When we pulled up we were greeted by Ginger & Eddie who immediately welcomed us and put us at ease. The cabin had everything we needed including a hot tub under the stars! Thanks Ginger & Eddie for the hospitality! We've made some new friends and I know we'll be back!
