Water sports: The area is renowned for its beautiful fresh water lakes. Consequently, the range of watersports is wide; canoeing, rafting, river diving, scuba diving, caving, water skiing, wind surfing, boating, yachting and fresh water swimming
Ski: There are numerous local ski resorts catering for all levels; enthusiasts will find the area challenging yet absolute beginners are also well catered for. Atitude 1000 -1100 m. The skiing and scenery is fantastic. The area is not overrun with hoards of holiday makers and remains rather undiscovered. Skiers and snowboarders the terrain is ideal and you will be spoilt for choice; nursery slopes, gentle family runs, secluded deep snow slopes and challenging free ride arenas (Krippenstein - 18 km away). The immediate area boasts 164 km of groomed runs/lifts (15 km difficult, 137km moderate and 12km easy), 8 cable cars, 12 chairs lifts, 21 practice and T bar lifts. 50 km cross country tracks. The reosrt that we tend to use is Gosau, some 15 minutes easy drive away. Skiiing for all standards. There are nursery slopes and school school/ski hire. There is an indoor pool at Gosau for those who want to take as break from skiing. Lessons are easily arranged. Staff speak English
Golf: The nearest golf course is 15 minutes drive from the apartment.
