Self catering apartment, sleeping 4 located at the heart of the stunning Halsatt-Dachstein region of Austria. Famous for its breathtaking mountain and lake scenery this region is a fantastic all year round holiday destination; skiing in winter, walking, cycling and water sports in summer. Great for adults and children. Easily accessed from Salzburg or Linz the Dachstein West mountain range and the nearby UNESCO World Heritage site of Halstatt will certainly not disappoint. The apartment is located in an elevated position on the outskirts of the pretty, traditional town of Bad Goisern and benefits from a balcony with breathtaking views, living area with king sized bed and bedroom with 2 singles. There is a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, meat grill and hob There is a bathroom with bath (essential after an invigorating days skiing or walking!) with shower over. Picnic pack for 4 people. TV, DVD, CD and games. A great holiday should be had by all!

Bad Goisern is located in the heart of the stunningly beautiful Hallstatt-Dachstein area of Austria. The area has abundant attractions for adults and children. The Dachstein-West ski mountain range provides some of Austria's most spectacular skiing.There are numerous local ski resorts catering for all levels. Ski hire and lessons are easily arranged. English is spoken widely. Outside the skiing season, opportunities for walking, cycling and water sports abound. The lakes provide beautiful settings for beach side laziness or fresh water swimming. There are many attractions for children including indoor and outdoor swimming, summer tobaggoning and outward bound activities Bad Goisern itself is a pretty spa town with a fantastic outdoor swimming/sports complex as well as some lovely cafes and restaurants. The area is also famous for its salt, ice and mammoth caves and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hallstatt is 5 km distant. The beautiful city of Salzburg is only 1 hour away

Notes: Please note that the hotel complex has an indoor swimming pool, sauna and restaurant. Unfortunately we cannot always guarantee that these facilities will be available for our guests. However, we would recommend that you take your swimming costumes. There is a great outdoor pool complex in Bad Goisern and indoor pool at nearby Gosau, in any event. We have an air conditioning unit for the summer and the apartment is always warm in the winter. There is lift access.

Water sports: The area is renowned for its beautiful fresh water lakes. Consequently, the range of watersports is wide; canoeing, rafting, river diving, scuba diving, caving, water skiing, wind surfing, boating, yachting and fresh water swimming

Ski: There are numerous local ski resorts catering for all levels; enthusiasts will find the area challenging yet absolute beginners are also well catered for. Atitude 1000 -1100 m. The skiing and scenery is fantastic. The area is not overrun with hoards of holiday makers and remains rather undiscovered. Skiers and snowboarders the terrain is ideal and you will be spoilt for choice; nursery slopes, gentle family runs, secluded deep snow slopes and challenging free ride arenas (Krippenstein - 18 km away). The immediate area boasts 164 km of groomed runs/lifts (15 km difficult, 137km moderate and 12km easy), 8 cable cars, 12 chairs lifts, 21 practice and T bar lifts. 50 km cross country tracks. The reosrt that we tend to use is Gosau, some 15 minutes easy drive away. Skiiing for all standards. There are nursery slopes and school school/ski hire. There is an indoor pool at Gosau for those who want to take as break from skiing. Lessons are easily arranged. Staff speak English

Golf: The nearest golf course is 15 minutes drive from the apartment.

We stayed in this apartment for a week in July '09.
The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos on the web site . It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.
We would thoroughly recommend this appartment for those who want to get away from the maddening crowds.Lovely views from the balcony too .

We spend one week at end of the Year and had a really good time - the apartment is very nice and fully equipped. It´s higly recommendable.
