Rusheens offers peace and tranquillity in a most spectacular location, nestled between the famous Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara, 2 km from the heritage town of Kenmare. To the north of Kenmare is the Killarney National Park, 10,000 hectares of woodland and magical mountains, with spectacular views of the lakes of Killarney. There are many sacred sites in the area, a perfect example of a pre-christian stone circle is in the very centre of Kenmare town. There is an abundance of award-winning restaurants as well as pubs and bars with traditional Irish music and dancing. Kenmare's annual Walking Festivals (Easter and May/June) offers guided walks of various lengths. Watersports are in abundance with pleasure trips of Kenmare Bay to see the seals and other stunning wildlife. Canoeing, windsurfing, sailing and water-skiing are all available within a short distance. You can also charter a motor yacht for the day to tour the coastline.
