House, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Oaks and Olives is a lovely family home in beautiful, undisturbed surroundings, yet within easy reach of the local villages of Oppede le Vieux, Coustellet and Menerbes.

Our family home away from home consists of 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom, with king bed, has a large ensuite with walk-in shower and footed tub. This bedroom/ bathroom is suitable for handicapped access. French doors open onto it's own small terrace.

The second large bedroom also has a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower.

There are two more bedrooms that share the third bathroom. One has a queen bed and the other has two twins that can be pushed together or left separate.

The great room is a wonderful place to relax with a glass of wine, read a book or enjoy the views across the valley. The dining room can be set for eight people to enjoy the special treats that come out of the fully stocked kitchen. The openness of the room allows beautiful morning light lasting right into sunset views. Off this great room is another set of French doors which leads out to the covered terrace. Beyond the terrace lies the covered outdoor dining area with BBQ, security-gated pool and garden with olives trees, lavender, wild thyme, and rosemary.

Coustellet is 10 minutes away. It has the regions most successful market on Sundays and the best bakery around (right behind the supermarket). Not to be missed is the new pastry and tea shop that rivals some of the best in Paris. The town has everything required from a pharmacy (with a pharmacist that speaks English) and groceries to the lavender museum.

We are ideally situated in the middle of the Luberon with easy access to all of the fabulous hillside villages; for example, Gordes, Rousillon, Bonnieux and Lourmarin. There are endless opportunities to try new wines and local delicacies, while experiencing the daily wonders of Provence.

Whether you choose to spend your days relaxing in the sun or filling every moment with typical French experiences and markets, we know you will thoroughly enjoy your stay.

About The Owner

Karl and Moira are a forever France-loving couple. They traveled to the area many times before realizing their dream of buying a home there for their family to enjoy together and escape the chaos of Vancouver life. Karl is an architect of custom homes and therefore couldn't wait to get his hands on this personal project.

The Luberon has long held a fascination due to the cherries in the Spring, lavender in the Summer, and olive crush in the Fall. Between the hillside villages, fabulous markets, and wonderful wines, there is an endless assortment of things to enjoy in this area.

We enjoyed every moment here. Beautifully renovated, spacious villa with stunning landscape, it was a pleasure to come back to Oaks an Olives after long day. We travelled with our 2 children (7&4) who loved the pool and exploring the olive grove. It was centrally located for all our day trips around Provence. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing and welcoming home away from home.

Gorgeous view from brand new home ideally located for exploring the Luberon Valley

We spent 2 weeks at this newly renovated house and certainly would recommend it. The home is ideally situated for exploring so many towns nearby including Gordes, Menerbes, Bonnieaux and is surrounded by biking and running / hiking trails. The owners were very easy to deal with and super helpful with suggestions of what to do in the area. The home is very comfortable (brand new!) and well appointed with gorgeous views all around it.

We were so thrilled to have been your inaugral guests at your picture perfect Provencal home.
Your past year of hard work and attention to detail is evident in so many ways: the fully equipped gourmet kitchen, soft linens and comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms with an endless supply of hot water, reliable Wi-fi and your impeccible taste in decor and furnishings.
We enjoyed morning coffee in the sunshine on the front porch and pates and champagne on the other patio as we watched the sun set over the distant hills- it is so beautiful and peaceful. We explored the local villages daily and came to the conclusion that your house is perfectly located. In any direction - a 10 minute drive provides new adventures.
We have fallen in love with the Luberon Villages and Provence and cannot wait to return. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

We had a fabulous 3 week stay at Oaks and Olives. This home is perfect, charming, peaceful, clean and well organized. All of the furnishings and appliances are beautiful, and are top quality. The master bathroom is unreal! The setting is peaceful and the view is lovely. The location is the best and it is very easy to access the other villages by car. Fredric, the house manager was very helpful in every way. We would highly recommend this home to anyone going to Provence and we look forward to returning again soon!!
