Our Family has lived here full time for the last 6 years. We live nearby and come back here on weekends ourselves. We love the great people, delicious food, easy access to hiking, biking, swimming and surfing - or just walking the dog down to the beach.

Kerry Rose purchased this house in 2006

A rare find with great sun, epic views and easy access to the National Park, beaches, town or the rest of the north coast - yet still not far from the rest of the Bay Area. Ideal!

The access to nature and recreation is unparalleled. Very private yet with easy access. Stunning views, close to county, state and national parks and beaches. Just walk out the front door, give your car a rest. Enjoy the newly opened Blackbird Cafe or Vladimir's Czeckoslovakian Restaurant for live local music and a full bar.

VERY RELAXING SPOT, WOULD RENT AGAIN

  • 5 of 5
This was a very nice, secluded place to stay. My wife liked the architecture & art especially. Astounding views and great living room to share with friends. A couple notes if you're considering this place:

* 3rd bedroom (bunk beds) is only accessible through the 2nd bedroom. Fortunately, we had two teens with us and they were fine with this arrangement but it wasn't clear from the description.
* Master bedroom has no door and master bath only has a tub, but a nice one.
* No garbage disposal so be sure to strain out all your food waste
* Lock doors carefully (don't just shut them) at night as raccoons can be very crafty.
* There is a fireplace now (addressing someone else's complaint) but I don't think it's worth the effort. Still, if you want it, it's there.
* Don't freak out but a fox likes to climb onto the deck and look for scraps around dusk. It's nature -- that's what you came for.
* Strict limit of 6 people and no pets. Not a problem for us but worth noting.

Highly recommended and Kerry was helpful. Thanks!

WONDERFUL HOME FOR FAMILY EXPLORATION OF PT REYES

  • 5 of 5
Loved our family (2 kids ages 7 & 9) vacation at this wonderful home. Amazing views, great hot tub & beautiful, comfortable home. A great location to explore Pt. Reyes. The home is beautifully decorated, has comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed BBQing on the deck and going in the hot tub at night after long hikes in Pt. Reyes. Great area with big kids - many wonderful beaches & hikes nearby. Also enjoyed kayaking in the bay. Would definitely return to this house again!

NEW YEARS IN INVERNESS

  • 4 of 5
Location and view was spectacular, mostly at sunrise from the master bedroom upstairs. The house is well appointed with nice art everywhere. We were disappointed not finding champagne glasses and only four wine glasses and that the bathroom upstairs lacked a shower. Also would benefit for having an extra sofa so everyone could hangout comfortably on the living room.Anyway we loved the hot tub and had a great time.

LOVELY VACATION WEEKEND

  • 4 of 5
The photos for this property represent the property fairly. We were still blown away with the exquisite view from the living room, the deck, and the hot tub. The owner was very responsive to questions we had before arrival. We didn't expect that the bunk beds were accessible only through the second bedroom, so person sleeping there had to go thru someone else's bedroom. This would work fine for children's room. The upstairs bedroom absolutely lovely, however no door to separate the downstairs noise. Kitchen well stocked with glasses and other tableware, as well as pots and pans. We would stay again, and would bring a lighter weight blanket for sleeping in milder weather ( the comforter provided was too warm for use). Access to the beautiful Pt.Reyes area!

BEAUTIFUL HOME, INCREDIBLE LOCATION

  • 4 of 5
This is really a stunning house, at which we stayed five nights. The Modernist design is exciting, the view is amazing (watch the fog roll in and out of Tomales Bay), the kitchen is terrific, the bedrooms great. And the hot tub was a pleasure. I mean, it's really terrific and a great value for the cost. Only thing keeping me from giving it five stars was that firewood was not provided, unlike every other homes of the many, many I have rented with fireplaces or wood stoves.

Great: Bovine Bakery in Point Reyes Station; the national seashore itself, of course; Samuel P. Taylor State Park redwoods; Saltwater restaurant in Inverness; Arti Cafe Indian restaurant in San Anselmo; the Marconi Cove Conference Center, where the grounds are really lovely and there are many trails.

Bleh: The barbecued oysters I had in one of the oyster places in Tomales, I dont remember which one. The setting on the water was lovely, but the oysters were completely forgettable and took a very long time to get (and it was not busy).

GREAT STAY! NICELY-APPOINTED HOUSE WITH STUNNING VIEWS

  • 5 of 5
We had three couples who stayed for three nights, and the house worked out so nicely for our group. The deck space was great, and the views were stunning, but we really chose this place because the house itself is so beautiful. Yes, there is one room with bunk beds, and only one shower, but it was a sacrifice we were willing to make for this place. Decks and views are easy to find in a rental house, but to find such a pretty, very nicely decorated rental isn't as common. We loved the mid-century feel, and really felt at home here. The dining table fit everyone comfortably for dinner and was perfect for playing a few card games. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck in the mornings, and brought our cornhole game for afternoon games in the front. The location feels a bit secluded (which we enjoyed), but it never felt too far from anything. It was close enough to the beach and the market, and a short drive to our afternoon visit to Hog Island Oyster Co. We all really enjoyed the property, and highly recommend it. Kerry, the owner, is also fantastic and is very fast to reply.
