this was my son's studio, when they where living in Paris, they now are both living abroad
Antoinette was an amazing host before and during our stay. She was quick to answer any questions I had before our arrival and when we arrived, she stayed to help us orient ourselves to our new location and provided several great recommendations for our stay. She also left wine and a baguette which made us feel very welcome! The apartment itself was slightly smaller than I expected, but it was perfect for what we needed. I was traveling with my aunt, and the fact that there were two REAL beds was a huge plus for us. The stairs were a little steep, but we managed to get a 50 lb suitcase up them without too much trouble. The location was very convenient, between two metro stops and was within walking distance to Montmarte cemetery and the Moulin Rouge. There were also several delicious restaurants and pharmacies within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place to stay short term in Paris.
Great stay in a very convenient location - a few minutes' walk to 2 metro stations. Antoinette was there to welcome us even though we arrived at her place past 9:30 pm due to a train delay. The apartment was self sufficient and we had everything we needed for a lovely relaxed week in Paris. The bottle of wine on our first night was a great touch! Thank you :)
My sister and I spent about a week at Antoinette's flat and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Paris. The location was perfect -- it is on the second floor down a nice residential, pedestrianized street, so it is quiet and calm, but is right off a larger avenue and there are grocery stores, restaurants, and two metro stops within very close distance, which was so convenient. We felt like we got a taste of what it was like to really live in Paris, while also having easy access to the city center and other attractions.
The flat itself is small, but well-designed and cozy and there is a large window, which makes it bright and airy. It was clean and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen area was basic, but had absolutely everything we needed to make simple meals. We ended up cooking a lot and it saved us a lot of money. The bathroom and shower were nice, there were plenty of towels, and there was lots of hot water -- nice after long days of sight-seeing. The main room was cheerful and the bed was firm, but comfortable.
One of the things we appreciated the most was that Antoinette included little things that are easy to forget while traveling. There was a hair dryer, some small first aid items, guidebooks, electric converters, and a fantastic folder full of information about Paris and the neighborhood.
Antoinette was easy to communicate with and seemed eager to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend this flat and would consider staying with Antoinette again the next time I visit Paris. I think it would especially suit young couples or close friends.
My husband and I had a lovely time in Antoinette's studio in Montmartre.
Location: the apartment is literally across the street from a metro stop and is only several stops away from many main attractions such as the champs élysées. There is a grocery store, Monoprix, located very close. While in a busy neighborhood, the apartment is in a private alleyway off the main street. During the night, a iron gate closes the alleyway and can be opened with a code. We felt very safe and close to everything we wanted to do.
Host: Antoinette is a lovely person! She was waiting for us and settled us into the apartment. She gave us access to her washer and dryer and left us with a folder of very helpful information about the area. We took her up on several of her recommendations of places to eat and things to do, including eating at the brasserie "Wepler" (place du clichy) and exploring the islands of the seine. Both of these turned out to be some of our favorite parts of our stay!
Apartment: Beside some minor cracked tile in the bathroom, the apartment is in good repair. The appliances and wifi worked perfectly and we had everything we needed.
We would happily stay in Antoinette's apartment again! Thank you Antoinette!
Very nice studio, perfect for 1 or 2 persons. Everything (the washer, microwave, TV, etc) worked when I was there. It is situated in a lively neighborhood with lots of cinemas, cafeterias, restaurants. The private alley is secure and decorated nicely with all kind of plants. The corridor is a bit old but the apartment itself is renovated with lot of taste. Antoinette was a really nice person. She really did everything so that I would have a perfect stay in Paris. I even got flowers for Valentine's day! Overall a very good experience.
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at this adorable little studio apartment. We had no difficulty at all finding it. We were met and shown the apartment by a sweet woman. This apartment is very close to 2 different metro stops and we had an easy time getting around. Every morning we were brought croissants (which were delicious!). We loved staying here and would definitely recommend it. The woman who rents is provided wonderful information and was very easy to deal with by email. She was on top of things and got back to me right away when I needed anything.
Antoinette has been very helpful host and agreeable to whatever we needed from her; we stayed for a month at her place which was clean and and close to all the attractions. She gave us very good information also for where to shop for food and which were the nice restaurants to go to in the vicinity of her address.
We recommend her to anyone who wants to have a nice stay in Paris.
